I don't think that the artist's forum and the writers forums will be completely merged. Artist's Gallery can't be merged, so that will stay safe. I hope people are still using it often enough! *goes to check out the latest gallery entries*

if we have a subforum then we might as well keep the forum itself. ye the whole point of the merge was to get rid of forums that lack traffic. which is why we didn't make a subforum.

Subforum makes the front forum look neater but keeps the ability to discuss the topic seperately. Isnt the point of mergeing to make the front look neater?

subforums look like ghettos. they have their place, but why should all of the non-FF SE games get mashed together but the Crono series gets tossed off in a corner?

Well the Chrono Series actually has a place on the front site. I think having a seperate section to discuss any non-FF games on the front site so that the front site and forum dont seem like two seperate entities. maybe even put xenogears and chrono into the same subforum

the Crono pages on the frontsite can be linked to the Gen SE forum just as easily as they can be linked to a Crono forum. We debated both ways, but someone is going to be disappointed no matter what choice we make. Maybe some others will have different things to add when they are logged in later.

I still feel that generalising games discourages discussion rather than promotes it. Infact I wouldnt object to have a sub forum in Gen SE for EVERY se game
