If quote pyramids are so terrible, why don't we restrict how many quotes the board automatically quotes for you when you click "quote"?

Or, alternatively, limit how "deep" your quotes can go?

There's still multi-quote, tbh.

The quoting system on myanimelist.net only grabs the last quote, not the whole period.

A nice compromise, no?

also, it'd be nice if you could put as many quotes as you want, but it only used like three or seven by default.

This is nice. It'd be better than taking away the option of quote pyramids, but would also be brilliant for those too lazy to remove surplus quotes.

even better, an option to select how many quotes to use. Though that's not in the hack by default, but shouldn't be that difficult to program in.
