#49 On a serious note, what about racial slurs (or other slurs)? Obviously they'd be swears , but what if it's being used as a flame or otherwise? |

| | That's not what I meant. I meant what would be the interpretation on the rules be when slurs are used in an attempt to flame, especially slurs that could probably only be used to insult. I'm asking if those words should be unfiltered. |

| Senior Site Staff Administrator | Insults and swearing are two different things (although obviously they can be combined). Even if we did allow swearing, we would not allow it to be used in an insulting way. At the moment though it's not looking like this is going to go ahead. |

| | This wouldn't require a hack. It would be possible, for example, to simply make alternate style sets that don't contain the swear replacements. Also, I probably swear more here because of the smurf and ![]() ![]() ![]() filters. There are some places where I just don't think of swearing much due to the atmosphere of the place and EoFF is one of them, but those two filters are still amusing enough that I do it more than I otherwise would. |
