#1 I keep getting pop-ups for adult dating sites when I'm on EoFF. One of them was for BBWs and the other was for Lesbians. Now, I've just got three main IPs that I use for EoFF, and it's only on this computer that I get them on and this it has no security software on it whatsoever. So my question: Is this supposed to happen? |

| | Nope. There's a few things you can do about it. Spyware removal would be the first suggestion. Spybot Search & Destroy is a good free tool. As is Ad-Aware. And they work great in conjunction with each other. I'd also suggest a firewall. So if/when you do get spy/ad/mal-ware, if its a program and not some integrated crap in IE/registry then you can deny it access to the internet Speaking of IE. I would suggest moving on from that for a time. Use Firefox or Opera or something. They don't have the vulnerabilities and exploits most spyware type things use for this stuff If you still feel unsafe a good virus scan can sometimes fix these kind of problems (and is good to have around regardless, usually). Good free ones that I know other people use are AVG and Avast Note though that I don't use much of this stuff anymore, personally. Anytime I get a virus I can usually take care of it myself. (Maybe twice in my whole internet life). And I only use IE if some stupid site was designed for IE. Otherwise I use more secure browsers. So I can attest to their quality ;] 'Cause I'm not against going to questionable sites from time to time and I don't pick up any nasties |

| | Nope, they're Firefox window pop-ups. The title is just a blank space so it looks like " - Mozilla Firefox" This is Firefox 3 too . . . To the best of my knowledge I don't think Firefox can block two popups at the same time, so there might be multiple ones coming up and overriding the built in popup blocker. If I get another one I will take a screen shot. |
