It's possible to add photoes to Social Groups, so we could create a social group for each event? That way all the attendees can join the group and we'll get a list of who attended too.

I remember rubah saying there were some problems with updating the album. Even if they've been resolved we'd still need to find a poor soul willing to update the album.
