The problem is they Look Horrible. Extremely horrible.

And I hate Notifications. You see Private MEssates normally, then suddenly it tells you you have notifications instead, they may have nothing to do with private messages.

That would be like going to the local bakery and seeing they start telling you about the sale on Chairs at Wal-Mart.

If you look at the notifications it does tell you what it's notifying you of? Which could be a PM. And once you've looked at the notification, it does go back to the Private Message thing.

It normall says Private message, you click there for private message, then suddenly it's a notification for a User note.

I mean really, WTF?

Maybe we could add a user option so people can choose whether it's always PM, or does the same as the notification bit

When clicking on the Send Message link directly below a member's signature on their profile page, it just takes you to the bottom of that page (allegedly to Contact Info). I assume this is supposed to send a PM to the member; to actually do that, you have to click the Contact Info tab then click Send a Private Message to Whoever. Shouldn't it just go straight to a PM from the Send Message link?

Sounds like you've disabled popup menus in your CP, or are using an old browser - that's what it'll do in those cases Normally you'll get a dropdown menu instead when you click it, giving you options to send a PM or visitor message (VM?)
