Yes. People generally tend to avoid problems, rather than actually address them, especially on the Internet.

Thank you for your feedback. I do not think that this problem can be addressed at the current time due to technological limitations based on our server limitations and our internal coding expertise.

I don't know if a wildcard will give you too many search results but you can append an asterisk to a three letter word to meet the four character minimum requirement if you want to see what happens.
