I believe that it is more difficult to recruit for Site Staff than it is for Forums Staff because we differentiate between the two. I doubt anyone would enter Who Wants To Be The Next Site Staff? or some sort of variation.

She's not talking about you. Also why has this thread turned into an argument about how much the site staff do or don't do? I think this is the first time in quite a while staff and site staff have actively asked what forum goers want and we should listen to them rather then bitch and whine about the past. As for integration ideas, this is some I have off the top of my head: * Allow forum polls to be posted to the front site, and registered members can vote via there. * Fan Art Gallery thumbnails appear on each sections "intro page". * The ability to post a new thread about a particular game from any particular front site page via a link. * Most popular threads on a subject as well as most recent are displayed. * Peoples usernames, avatars and new PM amounts showed on every page if logged in. * Forum announcements appear on front page news and front page news appears in forum announcements. * More RSS features, maybe a last updated system which shows the latest pages updated, latest forum posts, etc. * Chat stats be shown in a page that looks like the EoFF style. * (Mullets idea Front page style matches forum style (a lot simpler then it sounds to impliment).* A link on the menu to the feedback forum, also maybe a page showing feedback given for the front site and how it has been achived. * We get round to replacing the guestbook. * The java chat page gets put on a front page styled page rather then a forum styled page. * Alther the menu so it's easy to navigate. * Include links on the forum to relivant front page sections. Ok so the list devolved a bit into general ideas, but you get the point, if anyone else gets ideas they should post them ![]()

Yes actually, It was me who made a thread about it three months ago in feedback. (I was wondering if anyone would notice)

From a marketing standpoint, integration between the forums and the site is a good idea as long as it does not close off any part of the site to only registered members.

I'm all for most of these changes, but as I said, there's a level of skepticism in my mind about people actually committing and following through to do the work. And I can't do much of it, myself. We actually had a thread about it in Site Staff, as well (possibly due to your thread, I don't remember) which dealt with the technical side of the issue, but the problem wasn't solved. Ho-hum. It'll get done.
