#9 Renmiri's post is about something celebrating Final Fantasy (obviously belongs on the site), was made by members from this site, and deserved to be here. (Aw Roto beat me to it. *Shakes fist* Yours really didn't. OOC: Looks like the Revoultion might have another at their ranks soon ![]() |

| | Advertising is advertising, and prohibited by the rules. Thats what Leeza just said in a post a few above yours. If rules are going to be enforced for one person, but allowed by another, you tell me whats the use of having the rule in the first place? The first sentence of the post is as such: "For those who haven't heard yet, to commemorate 20 Years of Final Fantasy, I have been renting two islands on second life where FFX fans all can RP or just hang out together pretending we are in Spira or Besaid island." Note the "I" part of this specific sentence, actually scroll down a little ways, and behold: "I myself have done the Kilika huts and got a SL builder to do a summoner dance area for Kilika. But my most recent accomplishment is..." another "I"! This isnt a group of fans that created something, one person was and invited them to join. But I suppose being a Mod absolves such a person from being constrained by rules eh? As I said before, if the referral was such a big deal, then yes, delete that part of the post, not the part describing what the site was about. |

| Site Staff Cid's Knight | 1. Renmiri isn't a Mod. 2. That isn't something she did with herself. That's something several EOFF members worked on together to accomplish. 3. Renmiri isn't advertising Second Life. She's asking people to come play with her on her FF related islands. She's also asking for help to make it. 4. The purpose of your post was to advertise the free RPG. If we delete the advertising there's nothing left to talk about. Nothing is stopping you from making a thread in General Gaming to talk about the game or ask anybody if they play to find somebody to play with. |

| | This is my beef to begin with. It wasnt an entire "ad" deal. I did ask if people did played, if they have heard of the site, blah blah blah. My entire thread was erased, not just the referral, which I suppose should have been the only thing according to the 'rules'. |
| | |
| Banned | If you want to make a non-ad thread in General Gaming about the same game, go for it. There have been Maple Story threads and stuff before. But you need to learn the difference between discussing a game and advertising it. It looked a lot like you wouldn't have been particularly interested in making that thread if you didn't have anything to gain from it. EDIT: Renmiri isn't a mod, she's site staff. So is Baloki and he got banned. Site staff aren't above the rules. |

| Cid's Knight | Sain Cai, you need to take a step back and realize that this isn't a big deal, and it's not personal. Your post, while part of it may have had merit as a topic of discussion, also contained advertisement for a game that would result in benefits for you. That's no good. This has NOTHING to do with moderators being anal or flexing muscles or showing favoritism. If you want to start a thread discussing the game, go ahead. Are you upset that you have to start a new thread instead of continuing off the old one? Cause if you are... I mean, c'mon. |
