Can we have a forum for character analysis? I think that that would be quite interesting, and it would help massivly reduce the number of threads who's sole purpose is to say "Sephiroth > Everyone!!!!111!!",ot "Tidus' !!!!"

What do you all knowledgeable people think about the idea?

But then we'd be making a pointless forum for pointless threads, and seeing as those threads devolve into spam, anyways, what is the point of the "analysis" forum? Besides, character threads fit perfectly in the forums that represent their games, as the people inside should (hopefully) have the knowledge and maturity to handle another troll-infested thread.

Alternatively, we can just go ahead and delete the FFVII, FFVIII, FFX, and FFX-2 forums. But where would Future Esthar go? Well, it's like Sodom and Gomorrah; there are less than ten good people inside, and if you look back, you'll turn into salt.

I wasn't thinking of a spam forum (because i actually did read the FAQ before making this thread), just that if we had an official thread for each of the characters, i think that it would reduce the number of spam threads, as there would be one thread for all discussion on that character.

It's a nice idea, but I don't think that most of the members who'd make threads in it can handle that kind of forum without going ZOMG STOP WITH THE TIDUS THREADS HE'S SO WHINY BLAH BLAH BLAH

If the members want to discuss/analyze characters in one game, they can already make a thread in that game's forum. For characters from different games, then General FF, Xenogears General Square Enix (oh the spam-filled memories), and General Gaming are there.

I don't see how it would do anything other than increase the type of threads you're complaining about. Face it: we just aren't deep enough for "character analysis".

Alright then, it was only an idea anyway. I just tought that t would be a good idea because i've seen it work brilliantly on several other forums.
