#1 I'm seeing an increase of threads that's just an article and either a couple sentences or just "Discuss" attached to it. Not that I don't mind, but in most of the current event threads, most of the responses are just responses, with little to no debating to whatever topic the thread has. It's been bothering me, and I'm quite sure several others are bothered by it as well. Isn't EoEO for threads to debate on subjects important to people, and for us to find help for whatever personal problems we may have? I don't mind threads on current events, but if there is no topic to debate/discuss about, then it shouldn't be allowed. However, that's just my opinion on this. Anyway, what do others think about this? Am I the only one annoyed by this, or do I have a reasonably good reason to bring this up? |

| Former Staff | Proto, if you see something that you don't think is right, use the warn button and let the Staff know. As it is, I don't know of any threads in EoEO that have just had discuss. Post links to these threads. If it's current events, discuss seems logical as it's asking for the members opinions on the current event and not specifically for any sort of help. No. We will not have another World Events Forum. |

| Senior Site Staff | You'd think a whole artical would be enough to discuss, but you suggest we implement a rule saying if you post an artical you must post an artical in response in the same post? |

| Former Staff | Well, I was more concerned with some of the "Current Event" threads started by The Fonz, especially his thread on the clubbed kitten. Well, sure it did have some discussion later on, but the way it started bother me. Eh, I guess it's not really a bother to anyone else. I'm sorry for making this thread, Leeza. |

| Former Staff | The posts in the beginning of the thread were one-liners, but they did reflect the feelings on the article. I agree that more discussion would be better, but in a thread such as that one there really wasn't much else that needed saying. You don't need to apologize for making the thread. This forum is for stating your opinion. ![]() |
