The old server was a single core Athlon XP Barton 2200+ with 1 GB of RAM.

The new server is (as far as I can tell) two dual-core Xeon Paxvilles with 4GB of RAM.

If there weren't a speed-up, something would be terribly wrong.

I have noticed nothing. Everything seems to load the same as it did before.

EoFF seems to load pretty damn fast for me, and I'm at work with a slower connection.

No difference for me...except that putting in the url: http://www.forums.eyesonff.com doesnt work anymore and i have to put in http://forums.eyesonff.com instead...weird no?

You shouldn't ever put a www. in front of a third part of a domain if it is there, unless you are expressly told to. It's bad interneting.

Because it's unnecessary, and wrong on a technical level as far as consistency goes with naming
