We've live-tested at least 3-4 different free galleries already. I think that might have been one of them, too. Not sure since there's no real examples shown that I can see, also that one looks like it's still in development? And the development started in ...2003?

I don't think the one you've mentioned has the support or amount of features we're really looking for.

That one was just an example. There are tons of other ones. Of course anything free isn't going to be as great as something you pay for(or so it would seem in this case) but development of any piece of software never stops. If it did stop then you would only need version 1.0 as your final end all release

I was just mainly checking to see if you guys had gone out to see and test free stuff first as I don't recall having that mentioned.

Yeah, we've actually spent the past year (obviously not non-stop) testing various gallery software. Some of them were quickly dumped as they didn't have features we desired and others were dumped after we realised the support for them was crap or the software just wasn't suited for a community rather than a single artist. Sepho, Spatvark, Samuraid, Rye, Unne and myself all worked on the last one we tried and we had it tested by artists, too, such as Doofhull and Unne. Still no luck, though. Looking at how many features this has and the fact that it's designed in the same fashion as vBulletin, I think this is exactly what we're after.
