#9 And soon one or two just might. ![]() Temp bans do not work. It just give the impression to members that if they screw up it's no big deal because they'll just be able to come back after a bit of time off. And then they screw up again...and know that they can come back again. This is not good and it makes a Mod's job that much harder. Obey the rules and you get to stick around. Go against the rules enough times and you're out. |

| | My mad editting skillz aside...even I think this is stupid idea. Therefore you KNOW, without a hint of a doubt, that this is just the WORST of the worst of ideas. |

| Cid's Knight | Remove the Drunk Tank and just go for a straight ban. If you get drunk and post a load of stupid crap which gets you banned, tough luck. And how do you even know if someone is drunk or just pretending in order to break the rules? (Only the smoothest of pranksters would dare try to pull off such a hilarious joke) hi guzy im pSyhcotidc ok im SO DURHNK rught now okayh heres some pOERN for you ALL! If bad spelling is the only qualification needed to be classified as "drunk", then half the membership are completely safe. Oh, and the same thing goes for people who are "really really angry! Like, absolutely implacable!". If they want to bitch about or flame the ones who caused them to get so tragically upset or incredibly furious, LiveJournal is where they should go, not EoFF. Other people seem to know and follow this well enough, so why make exceptions? |

| Cid's Knight | Why so bitter today Psy-whore? If it weren't for Drunk Tank, people like Levie and Mik would've been banned a long time ago. Sometimes people need time to cool down or sober up. But I do agree that the Staff should do a better job of spotting people who are just acting stupid and posting crap (no offense Bert) cause they know they can get away with it and people who just go over the top without really meaning to. Cause it's pretty obvious most of the time. |
