Well, it doesn't matter. I don't find the kind of spam in wankers to be very tasteful.

Is spam ever 'tasteful'?

Not when "blowjobs" and such were posted. When I found "blowjobs" within the first couple posts, I was immediately turned off by the thread. Sorry. I don't believe that thread should be archived.

Well...someone had to do it.

1.
And one thing, certain spam threads are archived, and some are not. Do you see MAPS in the archive? No, because it doesn't deserve to be archived. Does wankers need to be archived either? I believe it doesn't. It was at one point, but it was briefly moved out, and I believe it should stay out. A good way for a spam thread to be even considered getting archived is when the staff takes some involvement. Since wankers didn't have many staff involvement, it doesn't get archived.
Many threads in that forum have only one post from the staff, the last one.

2.

I don't care if it "deserves" to be archived. It doesn't. Why? Because it is 100% pure nonsense that went overboard within a few hours.

3.
And it's not the kind of spam I would say is deemed to be archived.
Ha. That, as many before me have pointed out, is not for you to decide.

Read above.

Read the above two posts and this to boot. Just because you get uncomfortable around the word blowjob doesn't people will stop using the word. People pass out at the sight of blood, yet there are graphic pictures. Get a grip. You're not gonna block your ears every time someone says a naughty word.

Proto's post was interesting. Who are you to say what is and isn't quality spam, Proto? You're a modwhore darling, not a spammer. You wouldn't know the first thing about spam if it came up and slapped you round the face.

Anyway, MAPS was a good thread. Why? Because those who participated enjoyed it very much. wankers was a good thread. Why? Because those who participated very much. Now, this does not necessarily mean they should be archived, but I will be getting to that. But it does mean you should at least treat the thread with respect.

Personally, I do not think wankers nor MAPS (I know I used to, but things change) belong in the archive. As I have said before, the fun comes in the creation, and not having a standing tribute for all the world to see. However, I will say that it would have been nice to have an opportunity to save the thread so I could look at it for future reference, and maybe you guys could've waited 30 mins before deleting it. (if anyone has it saved, I'd appreciate it if I could have it sent to me )

Anyway, we all know the archiving process is determined on what the staff's personal views on the thread are. Usually the decision to archive a thread boils down to an individual staff member. Is this fair? I don't think so. I think the general membership should have a say, especially as, let's face it, the staff don't really accurately represent the forum membership. The archive should be to the enjoyment and benefit of all members, not just the staff.

So I think that there should be a way for the members to get a thread archived. I haven't thought this through, so forgive any major errors in this, but perhaps members could nominate threads to be archived, and then the general membership could vote on it.

But really, when so many people want certain threads to be archived, what right have you got to delete them just because you don't like them? None. Jerk.

If memory serves.. "blowjobs" was posted by Social Moon Fireskies younger brother when she was away. I agree that saying "blowjobs" for no reason is stupid and immature, but it's not like that was the basis of the thread, or like the thread revolved around stuff like that. (Granted, everything posted in there was pointless, but not the point that "blowjobs" was)
