Is there a limit of 9999 characters for a PM but no limit for posting on the forums? I think some sort of limit needs to be put on the forums just so that people like me don't get the urge to post a 180 page post

Probably because we can easily moderate large posts, but not large PMs.

By "not easily", I am mean "not at all", except for admins who are given permission to do so.

no limit on usernotes either, although I have been known to delete excessively long usernotes, unless they contain the text to The Great Gatsby.
