#57 The problem here is that we allow sigs period. Sigs are dumb. Most of the them suck. Let us get rid of them. |

| Administrator | No need to make extra work for Staff. Having sigs is a privilege and the limits are clearly stated so whatever happens after people don't follow the limits is dependant on which Mod edits it and how. I normally comment out a sig, but if it's over 50 kb I just delete it. It's not stated anywhere though that this is how it should be done and Staff commenting out the sig is not mandatory. It's just a courtesy that we offer at times. If I've already removed someone's sig once or more, I don't bother commenting out anymore. The way that I measure if a sig with image and text is over 250 pixels: - Print Screen of sig in EoFF Classic with the avatars at the side - Paste into Paint Shop Pro - Crop the sig from the white line down to the bottom of the sig - Go to Image Information to see the pixel size |

| | if it's really that torturous to spend a few extra seconds editing a .sig, I can whip up a script that'll automatically comment out a person's .sig and leave a prewritten message saying to fix it in about two minutes. Just say the word~ And as mentioned before, having an admin add <!-- --> immediately after a person's .sig in postbit and postbit_legacy will remove the problem of people not closing comment tags once and for all. |
