Listed in the FF7 FAQ thread...

Q) Is it possible to get Excalibur by putting X amount of mastered Knights of the Round Table in Cloud's Ultima Weapon?
A) Nope. The first time Excalibur reappears as a usable weapon is on Final Fantasy IX.

Whoever posted that should be ashamed of themselves. *cough*BooB*cough*

EDIT: upon further investigation, it might not actually be BooBy's fault after all. Ah well.

EDIT: Actually, he's technically right, since he says "reappears." That implies that it had appeared once, or perhaps mutliple times, which it did. Your accusation is false, Wes.

Does it appear in Tactics? Notice it says "reappear". I haven't played ff8 so I have no idea if it is a weapon in that game, except it probably would be like Ex-Caliper or some crap since ti would have a gun in it!

Excalibur appears in FF1, FF2, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF9, and FFT.

Yes, the correct answer is FFT.

However, for all you nitpicks, the "reappears" does not save the answer. "Reappears" merely implies that Excalibur also appeared before FF7.

EDIT: so therefore, the answer was giving what it thought was the first FF after FF7 that it reappeared in, which happened to be wrong.
