Well, after (sadly) not being able to finish FFII in time, I'm now going to attempt the third one. Although the previous two were the NES versions, I'm going to attempt this one on my trusty DS.

After a sweet cutscene that seemed to go on forever, I bravely entered the cavern to face the mandatory tortoise battle.

When we last left our heroes they had just defeated the evil Jinn and saved the Kingdom of Sasoon. Now our party heads off to search for more adventure.



And along the way they let Cid join their group. Look at the little guy, ain't he a cute ball of fluffy beard?

Well that's good and all but the party is still trapped by a giant boulder. If only there were a way to destroy it. Say by...



...RAMMING AN AIRSHIP INTO IT! That's right. We rammed our only vehicle into a massive mountain sized boulder. Now I know there Cid from FFIV got all his guts and insane ideas from. This little bugger started it all!

Anyways we make it Canaan and Cid leaves the party (geez what a mooch). We explore the town a bit and eventually check out Cid's place.

Eventually Cid let's us check out his storage closet for some free goodies.



Egad man! This isn't some storage closet, it's a freaking Bat Cave! How did you manage to hide this in such a tiny town?!

I'm doing some leveling after beating Jinn. Jobs were assigned based on max HP at level 3 (when I assigned jobs). JED had 52, LEE had 50, and BORS and TOTH had 48 or 49. JED and LEE are now lean, mean, fighting machines.
