Crystal Rod represent!

Mysidia Cavern was annoying as hell.

Also, I'd like to know what everyone's spell levels are on and what level is recommended for where I am, thanks.

If anyone is looking for the Goblin Prince to complete their bestiary, I just ran into two in a large party of green goblins (goblin guard I think they're called), and they're called DesAngel in the nes fanslation for some reason xD I assume it's the same beast because the sprite colors are identical white and blue. Anyways, you don't have to be inside kashuon castle, the plains to the west was where I ran into these.

I'm not sure what the recommended spell levels are at this point but mine are:

Firion
Cure 6
Fire 4
Ice 3
Bolt 2

Gus
Cure 2
Bolt 3
Fire 5
Ice 3

Maria
Fire 5
Ice 3
Cure 2
Bolt 3

Leila
Bolt 4
Cure 2
Fire 4

Everything else is at either 1 or in between 1 and 2.

That looks wonderful leeza. you can tell your spells are good if you don't have to use them too many times in a single battle!

Mine are

Frioniel: Maria: Guy: Gordon:
cure-4cure-4cure-4cure-4
fire-4fire-4fire-4
bolt-3ice-3ice-2
life-1life-1exit-1
heal-1heal-3
change-1change-2
shell-1
safe-1
blink-2
blind-1

Would you guys believe that gordon and guy have the most MP of anyone?

Other stats:
Frioniel has a shield equipped (diamond), his evasion is 2-73%. Guy also has a shield equipped (gold). His evasion is 3-38%. maria does not have a shield equipped and never has. She does have gold armor on (being in the back row). Her evasion is 1-00%. Gordon had a shield equipped for about two weapon levels and his evasion is 1-23%. The lesson learned? Always equip your shields when you can. And don't equip armor when you don't need it.

I don't equip shields, I prefer to rely on sheer attack power. It is also true that my stats work different in the PSP version, though.

In this game, Evasion > Defense. However you can still get away with decent Defense whilst retaining your Evasion. Some of the least evasion reducing armours are as follows;

All Shields
Copper Cuirass
Silver Cuirass
Ruby Cuirass
Gold Cuirass
Diamond Cuirass
White/Black Robe
Power Vest
Black Garb*
Mythril Helm
Giant's Helm
Twist Headband
Gold Hairpin
Ribbon
Thief's Gloves*
Protection Ring
Power Armlet

Items tagged with * will actually increase your Evasion, provided your Agility hasn't capped at 99 yet. Everything else will only reduce your Evasion by 0~5%. Really you shouldn't have to use anything but the armours given above unless your Agility is already high enough to break the 99% cap whilst still equipping the heavier armours.

I've unlocked the Jade passage and cleaned it out of treasure and bosses. I went just far enough into Pandemonium to get a single treasure and unlock the collections data on it.

Looks like I have 9 treasure chests left to go. I think it's time I start stocking up on Elixirs (Ethers take up a large amount of inventory). I expect I'll need to do two more trips through Pandemonium.

Do you need to beat the game to get 100% on Items, Bestiary, and Art collections?

On another note, the Quicksave function is a lifesaver in this game. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to play through the final dungeon without it.

The first time through the Mysidian Tower I was defeated by a gang of Imps! Poor Gareth was Muddled so much that he ended up killing everyone in the party. I finally get to Ultima and I get this:

Eventually I get back to Fynn and reunite Gareth and the Wind Drake.

We spend some last minutes with Cid after defeating the Emperor in the Cyclone. Now it's off to Paramekia.
