Good evening, everyone!

oddler here, reporting from the Red Carpet of the Crystal Dome in Eizon, location of the Mid-Year 2007 Ciddies. Merely a few feet behind me, beyond sparkling three-story walls, and up a catwalk or two, nominations are being taken by Award Guy and members of the EoFF Staff. Excitement mounts (not in a sexual way, sorry NE) and the tension rises out here as the ranks of the forum's members begin to swell and gather along the ropes leading into the dome's entrance.

Earlier today, I had the chance to speak to a hodgepodge of the early birds that made their way here for the twelfth-ever Ciddies awards. Opinions on outcome predictions, ceremony views, and the illegitimate child, RoB, are as diverse as the community itself. Here's a cross-section of what you guys had to say about this super duper event.

In general, what are your opinions on the Ciddies?

This is the second time I've been here for the Ciddies. I'm psyched (just like last time), I don't know why but I love stuff like the Ciddies and the Attack of the Screenames.

I think they are an excellent activity booster! And the last few Ciddies have been great with many new first time winners. Hopefully, this one will be no different.

It's all one giant popularity contest. Very few deserving names win. However, I do exert a minimal effort as necessary.

In past ceremonies, there have been members that totally swept away the competition. Do you think there will be a "sweep" during this Ciddies ceremony?

I really don't think there will be. Nobody really stands out for me this time around, which is probably a good thing.

Sure, someone will win 4-5, if that counts as sweeping, but I doubt we'll see another Christmas Perfect 10.

I'm not sure... Christmas was gone for a while, and I can't really think of anyone else who a lot of people are familiar with and would like a lot.

It's quite apparent that a lot of members covet these awards. From the list, which do you think is the most sought-after Ciddie?

I know I wanted Award Guy to include MLT put Gilligan's Island on the Map. Award Guy did not like the suggestion.

Best Member, definitely. I mean, that's kind of like the Holy Grail of Ciddies. It shows that you make a big enough impact on the majority of people who care about the Ciddies to matter.

Do you think the latest Manus craze will affect the outcome?

He'll win his fair share, although anybody other than Christmas who tries to use the MANUS joke will fail hard, and rightfully so.
