I agree that Elves are cooler than Viera. At least that way, we can have male and female characters from Elves and Dwarves.

Human, Moogle, Elf, Dwarf, Bangaa, and Shumi sounds like a good mix. If anyone disagrees or would like to suggest a replacement for one or more of these, speak up or forever hold your peace.

I don't know why, but it feels like we've grabbed three traditional fantasy races and thrown in three FF ones. I haven't got any better suggestions though. I probably won't have a problem if we can integrate them into the one universe though.

Reptilian, Bangaa are covered with scales and their ears fall below their muzzles. Apart from physical differences, their intelligence and manners are not very different from those of Humans. However, some Humans hardly like them and speak about them by using the racist insult "lizard". Males and females are difficult to distinguish until their voice is heard.

I don't know whether he was asking the question seriously, or posing it in a way that was really asking, "What role do bangaas play in our world of Eizon?".

Oh, well in that case... I would say Bangaa would be very close to Humans in lifestyle choices with perhaps more focus on battle/mercenary work and trade, less on expansion and conquest/government. Going by BoB's proposed list, they'd be mostly found in warm, arid locations instead of widespread.

It looks like the race discussion is kind of dying down so I'll go ahead and assume that we're sticking with the latest list:

Human, Moogle, Elf, Dwarf, Bangaa, Shumi.

I'll need an individual description for each race preferably in the Creatures thread covering their details, that way we're all on the same page as far as what they eat, how they act, what they look like, etc.

I think focus should be shifted onto the World Map now. I'll go ahead and edit in some general areas for climates and races on the image. We'll need names for continents and large bodies of water once that's done.

I'm good with the race list. It gives us plenty to work with, and I'm sure the creative types will have fun writing history for each of them

EDIT: Should we make a separate thread for detailing the races, or put them in with creatures? It might be easier if they were separate.

Actually, I haven't played FFXII in a long long time, so it was just a question of who they were.

Let's get this ball rolling, shall we? Make some decisions and such.
