#1 I got the game on my birthday and I just finished it. I have a few things to say. WOW, sometimes you think its kinda dull like when Zack fell into the church like Cloud did, and the lack of actually going on the whole niblehiem trail like in Final Fantasy VII. Plus the super sad/predictable ending. Over-all what did you think of the game? I'm starting my new game plus and try it again just to really dig deep in it. Could they have possibly made Zacks death more horrifying and glory? Edit: This thread is just for people who completed the game and wanna talk about it. Knock yourself out. | | The final scenes were awsome, I agree. I wish they wouldn't have invented so many new characters though. They only did so to make it interesting, but all I felt when talking to all those secondary characters was: "Who cares?" Story was interesting and all, but I really don't care about Genesis and his whole life story, I don't even see it as story, the thing was just made up for it to fit that Vincent game for the ps2. |

| Cid's Knight | The scenes directly affecting Zack and the original games are all pretty good. Going to Nibelheim was just awe inspiring in the game but I agree that with the exception of Cissenei (sp?) and Angeal I pretty much despise the rest of the new cast. If Genesis had either been removed or toned down and not so blatantly being set up for a sequel game, I would feel CC's plot was pretty good. The Final battle with the Shin-Ra army was cool but I could have done without the Wing monologue and the sappy J-Pop song. ![]() As a fan of action games, I can't say I was impressed with the combat system but I did like the Materia system and DMV Overall, I still like Last Order better... |

| | The only thing I didn't like about the DMW was the random level-ups. Here's something that happened to me all too often: 1) Complete 20 missions without leveling up. 2) Next mission you level up twice. |

| | yeah what was up with the guys calling genisis "brother"? This is a spoiler thread so come on spill the beans of this for me. I agree Genisis wasn't too much of a bad@$$ villian. I have heard way too much Loveless for my share. Angeal on the same hand didn't fit as the first to bare the "buster sword". Then when Zack uses it at first it dosn't fit him either. I can't decide which I like more the first sword he uses or the buster sword. It hurt me to see Genisis enter the mako reactor in Mt.Nibel. I was like "NOO that didn't happen before hand. ok whatever." I've went back to my last save to do missions. After that I'll do the new game plus and probally consult a walkthrough. I just got my kicks off it now I wanna get everything and become really powerful. I loved materia fusion. |

| Cid's Knight | My only real problem with the battle system was that the A.I. was pretty slow and stupid and dodge roll is the move that beats everything but cinematic attacks. The invisible mini-battle arena that surrounds you when you engage enemies gets annoying especially when it interrupts your dodge roll and you get hit with a few cheap shots . Its system just felt really unpolished and the difficult was pathetically easy. My friend was close to level 30 when he beat the game and his battle with the final boss was a joke... Hard mode is hard for all the wrong reasons and really makes the faults in the system more apparent. Those are two of the members of Deepground from Dirge of Cerberus. The whole ending to Genesis makes sense if you've seen the secret ending to DoC. Genesis is a pansy ass Sephiroth wannabe... The lack of creativity that went into creating him and the "original" plot of CC depresses me... Angeal was ok, and I actually liked both of Zack's weapons, I was hoping you could get different types of swords but oh well. This scene is the entire reason why I dislike CC, Genesis, and the Compilation of VII. I'm still pissed about this scene and I am not even a real fan of VII. It is pretty damn awesome, especially when you get Hell versions of the -aga spells. ![]() Last edited by Wolf Kanno; 09-27-2008 at 09:32 AM.. |

| | I beat DoC before but I was out of my mind at the time, (I'm disabled btw) and I didn't get to understand it all the way. I still got it so I'll probally look into it but I'm not really to fond of it. Me I was a FFVII fan since it first came out. I even wrote a walkthrough for it. I love all FF games and own as many as I can. This is a nice collection for the main reason I play most, to level up as much as possible. I'll probally look into the secret ending of FFVIIDoC on youtube or something. Just to find out. Another thing is there is a lot of god damn missions. I'm the type of person who likes to completly complete a game and this I guess is my moneys worth although its been a while since I've played a FF that didn't take me a couple of days to beat. Right now I'm satisfied. Next stop FFTactics for psp. YEAH |
