#9 The first one and the ferriswheel are my favorite. Because: the first one has a wonderful depth of field and focus. And the colored ferriswheel's lights are captured very well. It's pretty captivating. These are beautiful, beautiful works. ![]() |

| Cid's Knight | The first set hit me really, really hard where I live. I've spend a lot of time over the past few years driving early mornings and seeing the sunrise with me. The photos make me need to drive. (Well, all except the biscuit. The biscuit just makes me happy. xD) The second series seems kind of odd juxtaposed with your normal style, but still excellent in technique. Have you ever taken any classes in photojournalism? |

| Cid's Knight | I've never really done straight on photojournalism work even though it is the genre of photography I admire the most. I've seen some amazing work recently and it spurred me on to give photojournalism a try. I've never taken any specific PJ classes but I have studied the work of photojournalistic masters, and I think that kind of studying can sometimes be worth a lot more than what can be taught in a classroom. But in general I've only taken... 2 photography classes in my life. Once when I was in elementary school, and once my freshman year in College. ![]() |

| Cid's Knight | Part of me can't really believe you're serious, but I know you have no reason to exaggerate. Wow. xD I'm assuming by the content of the journalistic style photos you're more interested in the "mirror" style, in which the photographer seeks to evoke emotion based on the event, yes? If you don't know what I'm talking about that's okay. This thread just made me really excited because we just talked about this in my ethics class. xD |

| Cid's Knight | Oh yeah, I'm all about the emotion. The only photographs that have ever made me cry has been photojournalistic stuff. There are photojournalists who strictly take pictures of what's going on. There's a scene, they snap snap, they're done. Then there are the photographers who aren't just journalists, but artists. They're the ones I admire. The ones who, even in a situation where they can't control any of the people, actions, lighting, etc, they still manage to create a beautiful image that evokes emotion as well as tells a story. |
