Kurt was about the music, I think he would appreciate this. he didn’t want to his music consumed by the media, become insignificant and watch his career go down hill, he would like to see he is still respect by his fans.

I believe he hated the fans that say they knew the songs but didnt have a clue what they mean. like the song "rape me" wasnt about wanting to get raped it was dedicated to a girl who got raped at one of his shows.
