#1 I used to love drawing, but left it for quite a while. Recently, I've been doodling again though. I hope to develop my sketching skills, as it is my favourite form of art. ANY criticism is welcomed. I know that I am not a very good artist, and would LOVE to hear any tips that could improve my ability. However, it would be nice to hear if I am doing a few things even remotely right. ![]() Here is a sketch of a favourite video game chacter of mine, but in slightly different clothing then what he usually wears. I sketched it up for an RP site that I'm a member of. ![]() Kudos to anyone who knows who the character is. If this was coloured it would help people immensely, but sadly I'm not very good at colouring art at all. P.S. I already know that the neck is a little long, and the left hand is a little weird, but otherwise I believe that the body is at least proportional. I'd like to hear anything else that anyone can think of . |

| | overall it looks nice(you already noted the few defeciencies I would point out). Since I don't know what the original character looks like, I guess I must say, you could add more texture to skin(make whatever muscles more visible, if he has any that is) more shadowing.. that way it looks more realistic(don't ask me how.. I lack shadowing skills). Also his face appears a bit odd.. though I don't know why.. maybe I am just unused to that particular style. |

| | Though the character is rather lean, he still does have muscles that I have not took the time to shade. The left hand looks funky because I eventually gave up on trying to make it look normal. I'm not sure how the neck ended up so long though. ![]() As for the face, it is modeled after a rather different style. There is a picture of his original character art here if you want to see what I mean. The face my just be a little strange also. Probably a bit of both. |
