by penning do you mean inking, if so it's always best to ink a picture and then scan it, theres more skill needed, but you can get such a clear crisp line.

I found out that it does. It also depends on the pen used. I'm glad I had a micopen with me, because those are better than normal pens for inking.

good picture. i particularly like the face, the fullness and deep red of the lips, the eyes are really good too.
