Best FFVII song...

Hey yo! Trick Sparrow here, and I was just wondering which song in the game is the best. In my opinion, it's a toss-up between 'Aeris' Theme' and 'One Winged Angel'. I also love the themes for Wutai and Cosmo Canyon. So, give me your two cents. Love, peace, and chicken grease!

that would definately be aeires tune but my other favourites are the turks tune and the one where ur underwater in the submarine.

I liked one winged angel, the turks theme, and the theme when you fight Jenova. I :love: that Jenova theme! And the boss battles theme!

I like president shinra's music the Turks, COSMO CANYON ROCKS!!!!

Of those already mentioned, Cosmo Canyon is my favorite. But I also really like "Tifa's Theme", "Sandy Badlands", "The Nightmare Begins", "Mako Reactor", "Off The Edge Of Despair", and the Main Theme. Oh, and "Interrupted By Fireworks", "Ahead On Our Way", and for some odd reason "Honeybee Inn". Sick, hm?

I prefer "Aeris' Theme" over all other songs in the game, but I also like these:

- Sephiroth's Theme
- Those Who Fight
- Mythril Mines/Sleeping Forest
- The Highwind

4.) The Chocobo winning song thing (with the funky score that they play whenever you win a battle in the first game.)

The Midgar-part had an AMAZING ambience! Now, if only the characters would have been better... ;)
And the part in Shinra mansion in Nibelheim? This last time I played it through, I noticed that the first, passive, form of Sephiroth's theme passed over to the 'choral' thing at the exact moment Seph went berserk. All the way up to that point, an ill-boding ambience... And then... WHAM the chorals whack you over your head! [A neat line-up of expletives] FANTASTIC!

Taking all that in account, I can understand why people say FF7 is an utterly great game. And, indeed it is a great >game<, it's just that it's... sort of not an utterly great RPG. (So I happen to like Torment, sue me.) I think you'd have to understand my view on what RPGs are to restrain the flaming, so... e-mail flaming is A-1 BETTER! ;)

I like lots... most of them - this music just rocks! The tunes stick in your head, which is really cool. Anyway, my fav's are:

-Aeris' Theme - have you heard the orchestral version? It's soooooooooooo beautiful. Made me a bit teary eyed the first time I heard it... so much emotion...

Well... that's lots. I like the way they reuse the themes too, like Mark of the Traitor is kinda a reprise of Barrett's Theme, and Flowers In The Church is Aeris' Theme...
