The Corsairs of the Ocean

On the open seas, adventure awaits. Many make their living there, the prosperous ocean merchants and the local islanders. Then there are the pirates.

Pirates have long scourged the sea, ever since ships have began to sail. They steal and pillage off others, but they know a strict code of honor (well, some of them, anyway). Others are ruthless savages, cold-bloodedly murdering for treasure. Others sail into the deep unknown, challenging any that come their way.

Rules

1. Creating a Profile

Before you can begin sailing, you need to make a profile (obviously). Include the following:

2. Factions

There are eight major pirating factions in the world. They are:

A. The Black Scourges-These are ruthless murderers, plundering any ship that comes their way. They are also the sworn enemies of the White Sailors.

B. The Red Barons-These are exactly the same as the Black Scourges, the only difference being that they only attacked armed ships.

C. The White Sailors-These are the antithesis of the Black Scourges, they steal from rich merchant ships, but they give the money to those that need them.

D. The Yellow Snoops-These pirates like using trickery and espionage to take a ship rather than violence.

E. The Green Fighters-This faction likes nothing more than a good clean fight. They loot ships, but they challenge the occupants to a duel. If the victims lose, the Green Fighters pillage everything onboard.

F. The Orange Rangers-This faction prefers to use ranged combat, trying to inflict to cripple the enemy ship as much as possible before boarding it.

G. The Purple Mystics-It is rumoured that these men can use limited amounts of magic to enhance their physical and mental capabilities.

H. The Blue Mourners-These are the group that is the most mysterious. They prefer to be left alone, but are known to put up ferocious fights when attacked.

3. You cannot be Captain immediately. You need to earn your way up through the ranks first.

Quartermaster-distrubutes rations, orders, etc.
Helmsman-steers and pilots the ships
Gunner-in charge of maintaining and firing the guns on the ship
Boatswain-junior officer
Lookout-looks out for land/other ships/other potential danger
Pirate Monkey-performs most of the grunt work
Cook-self-explanatory
Carpenter-makes repairs and maintains the ship
Ship Doctor-medic
Musician-provides entertainment

Appearance: The captain of a White Sailor ship is tall and lanky, towering at about 6'5'' and weighs roughly 175 lbs. He is one of the more enthusiastic supporters of the ideals of the White Sailors, and deals out harsh punishments to any that disobey his orders (unless is has a benefactory effect), or the Code of Conduct. He usually wears a white cloak, along with navy blue pants and shirt. His most distinguishing feature is his medium-long hair, which is a fiery orange-red.

Gimas stands on his ship, the Ragnarok, as it sails southward off the coast of Cuba. He notes the wind. With a smile, he walks towards his cabin.

Heero Yuy
Heero is working on the deck, inspecting it for leaks and other structural problems on the Ragnarok.

Ray Ultima
Ray is inspecting his medical tools. He puts his instruments to boil in a pot to sterilize them. He then attempts to use a basic fire spell to ignite the stove, but is unsuccessful.

Kuroshima
Kuroshima is onboard the ship Dwemorborg. He is lounging about on deck when his captain, Solt Runbem, appears. He is wearing teal robes, with a navy blue scarf on. The captain stares at the carpenter and says, "Get to work!"

Clash Fables
Clash is also onboard Dwemorborg. He is busy frantically trying to cook up a grayling caught earlier to please the captain. He also is surrounded by several spices taken from an earlier raid.

Count Edward
Edward is on the Reconciliation. He is using a dried out rag and some oil to polish and to get rid of rust on the ship's main cannons. His captain, Xaxm Woper, comes out and inspects the cannons. Wearing a green outfit that bears a resemblance to a leprechaun's, he nods approvingly and heads back upstairs.

Blunderbusses are two-barreled one-handed shotguns that have a two inch bore. Their primary purposes are personal defense and boarding.

Volley guns are cumbersome multi-barreled guns that fire out of every barrel all at once. Their barrels look like either a typical pistol or rifle barrel.

Hmm, a basic fire spell cannot do this. I need to think of something...Maybe, I should rest a bit in the cabin.

I tilt my head in almost every angle to see that no cracks or openings are present on the deck. I smiled and got up on my feet. "Well, nothing up here. Now for the cargo bay." I said as I pointed my finger in the air and started going over for the door to the sublevels of the ship.

OOC: So, I can use Black Magic? And can I use Chain Whip?

OOC: The whip, yes. Black Magic, also yes, but only in weaker forms. I don't think it'd be fair if youi could whip out Meteor and Ultima.

Ray
You sit in your hammock. You eventually feel your eyes begin to close, but the rocking of the boat sends you to sleep.

Kuroshima
Solt glares at you and shouts, "Well, just check the main deck for damage, then go rest!"

Heero
As you walk through the deck, you see a slight crack in the side of the ship, near a circular window.

Gimas
Gimas is sitting in his cabin, pondering about what to do next, when he hears the helmsman shout, "Ship up ahead!" He jumps out of his bed and runs on deck. He looks up ahead and sees a plain yellow flag with a gold coin in black on top. He says, "Yellow Snoops, eh?" Gimas then turns around and tells the helmsman, "I'll take the wheel. Get your weapons just in case they decide to board us." The helmsman runs off to the main deck.

Heero Yuy

"Uh oh, better get that fixed quick. This ship shall never sink with me here." I rush down to the room that has the nearest circular window to the crack, open up the window, and get to work on the crack.

OOC: Okies! And I can't input anything in my post since I'm sleeping so I'll be dreaming then.

Ray

*Sleep* *Dreaming* "I hope someone knock my head, or captain will be mad.......I sleep in my job time....But I don't think so......I'm the in cabin.....Captain is probably talking to the pirate monkey outside the cabin, Captain, don't come here" *Sleep*

Clash

"Damn this freakin' grayling!Why can't I just cook you,you bugger?"I said.I was busy preparing a grayling for the captain.But so far none seems to fit the recipe right.*rummaging through spices*"Nah,not this,no,nah,not,no,oh,this,this and this...done."

I went off and started cooking.After ten minutes or so,I was finished.I took a little bite for tasting."Perfecto,"I said.

Clash
Captain Solt suddenly walks in, grumbling about Kuroshima, when he stares up and sees the grayling. He stares at you and gives a grin. He takes a fork, and takes a small chunk out of the grayling. He eats it, nods approvingly, and he turns to you and says, "Good work, chef." He then takes the grayling, and walks out the door.

Gimas
Gimas observes the Snoops' ship. It is made out of a dark brown wood, and it seems it has taken a gradual beating over the years. His train of thought is broken by a boarding hook heading right towards him. Jumping to the right to avoid getting hit, he spots a nearby horn, which leads to every room on the Ragnarok. "Grab your weapons, we are being boarded!" he yells into the horn.

Ray
You are awakened by Captain Gimas' shout to get ready for defense.

Heero Yuy
The wood bends quite easily under your hammer, and eventually you weld it back into place. You are suddenly startled by the captain's shout.

"Are we under attack?!" I get back in and run to my room. There I had my weapon stores in. I grinned. "I do more than just repairs. I purify this ship of all who intend to harm it and everyone on board." I grabbed one of my swords and made way to the deck.

Kuroshima
"Ok I'll check it...." I walk to the main deck. "Nope no damage... I'll go get some food...." I walk to the Kitchen.

Kuroshima
As you walk into the kitchen, you can smell all sorts of aromas. You also see a dining table inlaid with all sorts of food, ranging from fresh fruit picked off a nearby island, to meat looted from a merchant vessel.

Heero Yuy
You sprint back on deck, and notice a grappling hook attached to the ship. You also begin to hear gunshots. You also see various Yellow Snoops dressed in canary yellow uniform dueling with the other crew members.

Gimas
Gimas draws his cutlass and swipes at a nearby grappling hook, severing the rope cleanly in two with a swift stroke. He then draws his flintlock pistol and aims at the helmsman of the other vessel. He fires, and watches the helmsman fall to the ground as his bullet embeds into the helmsman's stomach. Gimas then grabs his pistol by its barrel and clubs a nearby Yellow Snoop over the head, laying him senseless.

Kuroshima
I grab a plate and put meat on it. As usual I sit down alone. "Another day... Another horrible day..." I mumbled to myself.

OOC: Sorry, I've been busy for the Ciddies.

Ray

"Captain, what's happening?" I run outside "We are under attack?" I run to my room and get ready for my stuff. I approach Captain Gimas Telie Dlor "Should I get on defense or healing our team?" I ask nervously.

Kuroshima
The meat tastes like it had been soaking for hours in slime. You feel disgusted as it slides down your throat.

Gimas
Gimas stares at Ray and says, "Yes, you stay back. Don't enter combat unless I order you to do so." The captain then reloads his pistol and shoots at a nearby Snoop. He sees his shot lodge into the Snoop's leg. He then runs over and cracks the pistol butt into the Snoop's back, watching him fall over unconscious.

Ray
After hearing the captain's orders, you begin to retreat away from battle. You then notice one of the enemy pirates heading towards you with a dirk in his left hand.

Ray

"I always hate Pirate's attack." *A pirate with dirk came* " Who are you? You must be one of the pirate, do you!" I swing my chain whip and aim it to the pirate "This won't hurt....much." *ATTACK!!!*

Kuroshima
"Horrible food.... This is digusting..." I mumbled as I took another bite.

Clash

"Uh......Kuroshima......I haven't cook those yet.......you're eating raw meat......"I said to him.

Kuroshima
"Doesn't matter..." I said with disgust. I pick up my plate and moved to a different table so I could be alone.

Ray
Your whip wraps itself around the pirate's legs, flattening him on the ground.

Kuroshima
As you take your seat, you stare at the unappetizing food with disgust.

Clash
You look at Kuroshima for a moment before turning back to your work.

Gimas
Gimas unsheathes both of his cutlasses and throws himself into the brawl that has erupted on deck, hacking and slash through Yellow Snoops.

Kuroshima
I poke the raw meat with my wooden fork. "This is disgusting.." I stood and walked to my room.

Clash

I looked at him until he walked away.

"I didn't cook those stuff.Of course they're disgusting.Maybe it's because the Captain told him off just now......"I said to myself.

"Oh,back to work.Still got lots to cook,"I said again.

Kuroshima
I walked into my room and layed down on my bed. "Finally no-one near me.... alone...at last...." and with that I feel asleep.

OOC: Sorry. I was gone on a little trip.

Heero Yuy

"You bastards get off our ship!" I rush in to help in the effort against the Yellow Snoops.

Ray

"Oh, is that it!? I demand some action from you! Especially when you attack us!" I link a fire magic to the chain whip and throw it back to the pirate. "How's that!!? ...........I might as well be on defending, I don't even know if this pirate have a trick or secretly hiding pirates."

Ray
The pirate begins to scream in agony, and dance around as if he is on fire.

Heero Yuy
You spot a lone Yellow Snoop rushing towards you with his volley gun aimed at you.

Clash
You see various fish, such as grayling, cod, trout, salmon, and swordfish, laying on top of the counter you're working at.

Kuroshima
You gradually fall to sleep with help of the gentle caress of the tides.

Gimas
Gimas kicks a Snoop overboard, then turns and clubs a nearby pirate with his flintlock pistol. He then feels a sharp pain in his left shoulder blade. Growling, he spots a nearby Snoop with his blunderbuss aimed at him. He rushes up to him and slashes the shooter across his back, and then grabs him and throws him overboard.

Heero Yuy

I grin as he comes towards me. "You're mine!" I rush towards him with my sword held up to the side of my face. I get quicker as I rush at him.

Ray

"Monkey will be monkey" I keep my Chain Whip. I tend to go and heal other pirates. "I'm useful!:tongue: " *day-dreaming* "I'm good......:)"

Clash

I looked at all the fishes on my counter."Well,this amount's more than enough to fix the whole ship an entire meal,'I said and I started cooking."But it's incredible that they actually cayght a swordfish for me,now that's a tricky recipe,but I'll get over it,"I said.

OOC: Sorry, I didn't see the post down there.

Count Edward

Finding the cannons up to my standards, I stop polishing them for a moment and ask the captain if I should drill the crew.

Clash
The fish are quite soft. You poke them to make sure that they're fresh enough.

Heero Yuy
The pirate, apparently confused, holds up his sword to try and block your rush.

Ray
Most of the pirates are healthy, except a few that have moderate injuries such as cuts and large bruises.

Count Edward
The captain nods and says, "Yes. You go drill the troops."

Gimas
Seeing the pirate trying to block Heero Yuy's onslaught, Gimas shoots at the pirate's right arm to distract him. He then clubs a pirate that tried to sneak up behind him before thrusting his cutlass into his chest.

Kuroshima
I woke up and rubbed my eyes. "mmmmm.... Nice nap..." I stood and paced around the room.

Heero Yuy

As I am about to rush by him, I move by blad to the side, making it horizontal, with it right in the pirates path. I attempt at rushing past him with my blade connecting with his body and slicing him in two.

Kuroshima
"Hmmmm...." I walk out of my room and go to the starboard bow(Baw? How do you put that?) "Mmmmm..."

Edward

I get the gunning crew at their posts and order a volley into the ocean. "Not bad!" I shout, "But we'll need to shave at least ten seconds off that time before I let you all go!"

OOC: I will be away until the 14th.

Ray

"Good, the White Sailor must be the best among all" Proud after he see the pirates condition. "Let me heal some of them" *Run to the injured pirate and start using medical items.

Clash

*poke poke*Great catch for today.All perfectly fresh for cooking and loads of calcium for the crew!I'll go get my ingredients and start cookin'.

Edward
The crew simultaneouly groans after hearing your announcements.

Heero Yuy
The pirate looks shocked as he falls dead to the deck of the ship. The Yellow Snoops have nearly been cleared off the ship. There's only one or two tough-looking ones armed with cutlasses left.

Ray
All of the White Sailors are fully healed. You find that you have used very little of your medicines on the injured.

Clash
The fish are cut quite easily by a knife, and they begin to smell quite delectable as the aroma wafts through the air.

Kuroshima
As you walk towards the bow on the starboard side of the ship, you hear an explosion followed by the ship rocking back and forth violently. You begin hearing yells from the captain, but you are too far away to make out what he is saying.

Gimas
Gimas leaps up into the air with both of his cutlasses drawn, and brings one down overhead on the pirate, while sweeping downward with the other. The pirate blocks the overhead slash, but is felled by the downward swipe as it slices his legs to the bone. Gimas kicks the corpse into the sea, but begins to hear the swish of a blade and turns to block it, finding the sole remaining pirate with a sneer on his face.

Edward

Edward yells and tells the men to bring the cannons up 5 degrees and fire another volley.

Clash

I swinged my knife lazily and I cut the fish in pieces just in a matter of seconds.I washed the blood off and started cooking by pouring some oil into the wok.I put in the meat,dumped in some selected spices and fired the fish.soon,a beautiful aroma filled the kitchen.

Heero Yuy

I look around for anymore Yellow Snoops. I catch one at the end of my eye and I turn to face him. He was big, one of the biggest here. I point my sword at him. "You're next..." I start my walk over to him.

Kuroshima
"What di you say, Captian?" I yelled.

Heero Yuy
The big guy begins to draw one of the largest blades you've ever seen. It seems to be a simple metal-bladed zweihander.

Kuroshima
The captain stares at you and shouts, "We're under attack by some Black Scourges! Get ready for action!" He then runs up towards the ship's kitchen.

Clash
You begin to hear scuffling outside. Suddenly the captain bursts in and shouts, "Finish that up now, or save it for later! We're under attack by the Black Scourges! Prepare for battle, now!" The captain then grabs his dirk and volley gun, and sprints to the deck.

Edward
The cannonball careens into the water about 150 feet away from the ship, causing a small plume of water to shoot up.

Gimas
Gimas looks around the deck and sees that there are no more Snoops left. He then spots Heero Yuy approaching the large Snoop, and draws his cutlasses and begins to move towards them, trying to stay out of sight.

Kuroshima
"Finally...." I ran to my room to get my axes.

Heero Yuy

I stop and analyze it. *"Hmm...looks like that things pretty heavy. Even though this guy looks strong enough to wield it, he'll still be pretty slow...he'll go down after a while. I'll be able to dodge him good enough."* I then continue to keep walking towards him, my glaring face looking straight at him.

Clash

"What?The Black Scourges?"I said.As I was just about to finish the dressing,I quickly put it all on and grabbed my weapons.I then hurried over to the deck and saw some pirates trying to come aboard.

Kuroshima
reached my room, grabbed my two axes and ran up to the deck and stood beside Clash. "Ready?"

Kuroshima
You begin to count the number of pirates heading onboard your ship. It seems that they used grappling hooks to keep your ship from fleeing. You do a quick count of them, and you estimate there's about five score of them. You then notice five pirates rushing towards you with their blades drawn.

Clash
You also notice that the same five pirates heading towards Kuroshima are also heading towards you. You look at the Black Scourge ship and notice it seems to be made of a dark brown wood, almost black.

Heero Yuy
The big man grabs his greyed zweihander with both hands. He swings it blindingly fast towards your skull.

Gimas
Gimas runs to the side of the big man and attempts to stab him in the arm. He then pauses from trying to cleave Heero Yuy in two and turn towards the captain. The captain backs off a bit, fumbling around for his pistol.

Heero Yuy

I push off to the left, dodging the blow but thrown a bit farther from the impact it had with the deck. "Oh, now you're in for it! I helped make this deck!" I get up and jump at him, my sword high and aimed at his strong arm.

Clash

"Hey Kuroshima it's no time to count enemies in this freakin' situation!"I shouted.I drew my gun and shot three of them down.The remaining two were temporarily stunned by my actions.I noticed that the Scourges' ship are made of wood so dark,it was as though it's black.

OOC: 0_o

Ray

*Walk to the captain* "Should I join forces with the team?" *I wait for the answers while watching the condition* "Those pirates may have their own trump card"

Kuroshima
"I know... Just a habit." I rushed at the last two pirates cutting ones head off and the other I cut in half. "I don't believe it it's too easy!"

Ray
You see the zweihander zip not an inch away from your foot as the large pirate misses Gimas.

Heero Yuy
The large pirate has his back turned to you, as he is focused on Gimas after he shot him in the shoulder.

Clash
The entire deck erupts into an all-out brawl, as you hear clanging of metal and various shouts and curses.

Kuroshima
You notice two more of the pirates break off from the other 93 and begin to aim at you with their muskets.

Gimas
"Dammit!" Gimas curses as the zweihander wielded by the enormous pirate whizzes by, as he narrowly dodges the brunt of the blow. Gimas notices that the pirate doesn't seem tired at all as the veins burst out of his muscular bulk. Grabbing his pistol in one hand and a cutlass in the other, Gimas shoots at the man's head, while leaping up and cleaving downwards with his cutlass. He hears an unearthly roar as the man swings the flat of the zweihander at Gimas, sending him flying to the bow of the deck. He then regains his footing and stares at the pirate levelly.

Kuroshima
"haha! Muskets are worthless!" I threw one of my axes at a soldier and ducked as the other soldier shot.

Heero Yuy

"Die!" I jump at the pirate, my blade high and I attempt to bring it down on his head.

Heero Yuy
The pirate hears you and half turns around. The blade sinks into his right eye. Screaming in pain, he flails his zwëihander about wildy.

Kuroshima
The raider falls with a shocked look on his face as his eyes glaze over and he limpens, dead. You notice that half of the enemy crew has been wounded or killed, and you hear the enemy captain roaring out orders like a foghorn.

Gimas
Smirking and noticing his chance, Gimas whips out his other cutlass, sheathing his pistol, and he jumps up and plunges one cutlass in the middle of the large pirate's back, and the other into the back of his skull. The pirate roars in pain, and begins to sway. He then falls to his knees, his eyes clouding, and falls with a large thud, slain. Gimas notices that the Yellow Snoops are sailing away to the horizon.

Heero Yuy

"Take...this!" I sink my blade in deeper and then instead of taking it out, I try to pull it over and through the side of his head and out.

Edward

Somewhat satisfied, I give my men leave to go back to their quarters and walk up onto the deck.

Ray

*Run to Captain Gimas* "Captain, you're okay? Need help?" *Look Around* "The Yellow Snoops..."

Kuroshima
I look at the enemy catain. "Prepare to die!!" I yelled at him pointing an Axe at his head.

Heero Yuy
Your blow has confirmed that the man will never get back up again.

Kuroshima
The captain simply laughs as he draws a large bone-handled cutlass.

Gimas
"Damn, they got away!" Gimas curses. He looks at Ray and says, "No, I'm fine. Go see if anybody else needs help."

Edward
The ship rocks gently as you head up onto the deck. The sun is setting in the west, creating a lavish spectacle of color and light.

Ray
You hear Gimas' orders as he walks away towards his cabin.

Kuroshima
"Hmmm.." I grabbed my other axe from a pirates cold lifeless body. 'Let's go. bring it on!!" I started to run at the enemy Captain.

Heero Yuy

I jump of his corpse and land on the deck. "He's not going to be a bother to my precious deck anymore." I turn to the bulky pirate now. "You want to be next?"

Ray

"Our crew looks fine....maybe I should help pirates with minor injuries." *Run to one of the injured pirates* "Let me heal you" *Heal the pirates using scientific way (not White Magic)"

Kuroshima
The captain simply smirks as he effortlessly leaps to the side of your rush and swings his blades at your back.

Ray
The crew thanks you as you heal all of them.

Heero Yuy
OOC: What bulky pirate?
You notice that there are no more pirates left on the ship.

Gimas
The captain storms into his room and sits down in frustration. He turns to a pipe that connects out deck and shouts, "Helmsman, get to the wheel and get in pursuit of those Yellow Snoops!"

Kuroshima
The blade rips the back of my shirt as I run by. "Hmph... this was my best shirt..." I threw one axe at him then charged with the other.

OOC: You said there were two. Did somone take the other out or something?

Heero Yuy

"Hmm, guess that's it..." I sheath my sword and look around in disgust. "Look at what they did to my precious ship deck! They'll pay..." I went back down to put up my equipiment.

OOC: Can I edit my history and can I put a connection between Captain Gimas and Ray?

Ray

"I'm glad I can help." *Captain Gimas shouted something* "I wonder what's next....I need to return to my room and I'll help you (Captain Gimas did not hear this), Captain Gimas!"

OOC: It depends on what exactly this connection is. Ah, and sorry for the long wait.

Kuroshima
The thrown axe swerves, embedding itself into the captain's left forearm as he tries to dodge it. Roaring in anger, he grabs his cutlass and brings the hilt towards your skull.

Gimas
Gimas turns to Ray and says, "That call was addressed to the helmsman only." You should go rest in your quarters, but be ready lest we catch up with the rogues!" He then walks away to his room. He sits down near a whetstone and begins to sharpen his blades, which had taken several nicks and scratches during the furious battle.

Ray
After hearing the captain tell you to go rest, you stand on deck for a moment.

Heero Yuy
Most of your equipment has nicks and scratches on it from the many Snoops you cut down, not to mention a lot of it is bloodstained. You spot a broom near your weapons rack.

Kuroshima
I ducked under the hilt and brought my axe up toawrds his chest.

Heero Yuy

I smile widely and pick up the broom. "Well, time to get to work." I grab everything else and get back to the top of the deck.

Heero Yuy
You note that there is nobody on the deck, but the deck has some splintering due to the crashing of the large blade from the earlier raid.

Kuroshima
The captain puts his hands in front of his chest to block the blow, but the force of it throws him backwards onto the deck.

Gimas
Gimas nods approvingly as he begins to see his cutlasses grow keener, with the nicks and scratches disappearing.

I stood over the captain. "I wish theere was another way... WAIT.. what am i saying Die you old fool!" I brought my sword to his chest.

Clash

Fights were erupting right before my very eyes.A pirate came flying towards me and I jumped out of the way.Then I turned and saw more pirates trying to conquer the ship by ambush.I rushed and they saw me.

"Well lookie here,ain't this the renowned combat cook of the Blue Troopies,Clash.An honour to take of your head,"one of them said.

All of them lunged at me."THAT DOES IT!!"I roared and drew my humongous sword.I slashed in a horizontal manner and mobbed the pirates,making them fall back or die.

"With my sword out,I'm mobbing the screen,"I said.

As if to answer your challenge, half a score of pirates head towards you with their weapons drawn. One fires a musket towards you.
