[RP] Encrypted Evil

Story so far...

It's the year 2099, on the verge of the 22nd century, and the world is more than just physical, it's Digital. People have realised the truth about "Digital Harmony", a way of life that integrates you into a digital world via your own mind. This Digital World has swallowed so many people, it's unbelievable, it's like a computer game - totally virtual, but you play with your life at stake. The "Harmony" part comes in when the Digital World starts taking over your life, in the physical world, things begin to...happen, things that shouldn't. Digital viruses and bugged exile programs start taking over the physical world, killing people. These "Exiles" and "Viruses" appear as normal people, but they're out to get whoever and whatever they can to survive. They're mainly after the Guardians, the ones who have reached their Digital Potential and the ones who are practicing their potential, training if you will. This Potential is skill, some are total pro's, some have only just found it.
In the Digital World, rules can be bent beyond belief, but not broken.

All this is happening in the great Super-City of Metroxia (Met-ro-zee-aa). The physical city is pretty much the same as the digital version, because it's so far advanced in technology..
So, how do you enter the Digital World? i hear you ask, well, if you wire up to the nearest phone booth line and dial a certain code, you'll be wired up to the digital realm. It doesn't seem to work through home landlines or mobile phones yet....

So what's the deal with these Viruses and Exiles?
Well, New breed viruses are roaming the digital freeway, the internet. Unfortunately, they keep finding ways of entering old systems, and bringing out old exile programs and other "deleted" or "coded" programs. When a program is deleted, it's binary code is simply flipped around, so it becomes encrypted, or coded, but these new-breed viruses can de-code them and use them. These viruses and exiles are finding more ways, by the day, how to get into the physical realm, to be able to take-over and control the whole of the planet. So far, they're progressing. Machines are being made by virus controlled factories, these machines are currently being coded and processed for the total domination, Ragnarok, the final war...they plan to do it by the year 2100, the 22nd Century. The only people who know about this and who can do anything about it are the Guardians.

Job: None - Earns money from Street Racing and Tournament Fighting.
Weapons: "Hybrid" twin shotguns with upgrades e.g. quick fire mechanisms, chamber expansions to hold more rounds.
"Chaos" - A .22 Calibre Magnum, it's had it's name engraved on the side of the reloading chamber, it's also had performance upgrades, e.g. ceramic barrel skim to reduce bullet friction in the barrel, enhanced reload spring for quicker reloading time. A personal favourite of Zack's.

Background:
Zack was pretty much born into the world of virtual reality and digitalisation. He's always been interested in the digital side of things, but his real pet favourites are his cars. Fast and furious, hence his nickname; Diesel. He got his very first car at the age of 15. He's still got that very car, but it looks and sounds a lot different than the standard model. He's upgraded pretty much anything you could possibly think of, and other parts you wouldn't think of. His car is a 1967 Shelby GT500. Yeah, even in these days, wheels are still a primary source of travel. Those flying cars never did "Take off" in the transport market. Everything else got more high tech instead.
When Zack was 19, he was with his usual buddies on a parking lot in his car, when he went to a phone booth and picked up, he "disappeared" according to his pals. They said his body turned into a bunch of floating numbers and then flew into the phone. Then Zack returned a couple of days later telling his friends that they've got to try out what he did, and he even remembered the number he dialled; 100101001. This is the binary code for entering the Digital World. Zack's friends never tried it, they were too afraid of what might happen, so he went alone into the Digital World and met up with various strangers and other digital beings. He has learnt a lot about this world and what it has to offer and about the darker sides to it. Zack's still perfecting his Potential, and has got quite good, but not good enough to become a Guardian.

Very skilled with a sword, he handles very difficult tasks on "Digital Harmony" and he makes a living on it, not counting his high positioned job at a company that creates computer programs.

He met with an old man that ask me to go to the ruin to take back his old pants. He search the ruins and suddenly find himself lost in the Ruins of Maze, he took ten days to complete the puzzle and found a crystal with a staff. He forge those two things and a bright light glowing in his heart. He feel very weird because he is surprised that he can call any summon from Final Fantasy, his favourite game and moreover, he can use the black magic of Final Fantasy. Background:as Griffin grew up, he went to the best school in a bad way, really it was one of the crappiest schools you could think of, but if you could learn anything, you could learn how to hack. from the start of his school life he learned from the best of the worst on how to hack, by 14 he manged to hack into the digital world, illegaly, duh. he was caught and kicked out of school, even from his house, not that that was so bad to get away from his violent parents. by 15 Griffin created the hacker panel, a device located somewhere on your digital self that allows you to hack within the digital world. not being good at anything else, Griffin decided to get money from hacking himself into the world and getting cash, by any means necesary

Background:A neighborhood drug dealer. He was shot in drug bust. While in a coma he was put into the digital harmony. Once he awoke he used the digital harmony as his means of hustle. He is known for cut thoat business tactics. He is a skilled marksman as an ex gang banger. Wanted by the police.

Background: When he was little he had been facinated with wolves. He would spen his days studying them, and walking with them, and learning to speak to them. As he grew older he still loved wolves and had also begun to train in both physical and magical combat. At about 14 it became clear that he was a powerful battlemage. He caught the eyes of elders at the age of 17. Soon he caught the interest of some of the guardians. One day some of the gaurdians invited him to a meeting and informed him about the viruses and asked him to help in the cause. After a few days he agreed mainly because it was a new test for him. At the current time he quite renowned and fights for the gaurdians.

It was a normal day. I was just in my office in the main building of the biggest computer programs and software developing company on the planet, Shadow Digitals Inc.
I was making a new program that could have street racing done in the digital realm, where the laws of physics can be bent a bit so the race will be a bit more exciting. My job is very fun to do as I know that I am helping ppl have something to do in their lives so nothing is boring, although there are risks. I say to myself with a grin on my face, "I'll be done with this by tomorrow for sure."

OOC: I left a blank because it's up to you, Draco, to come up with the company name, since it is your RP.

Also, my person is able to make software and programs, as you can see from my post, and my character will actually tell you, at some point, when he will be done. The time he says it will be done is being referenced off of real time. This means that tomorrow exaclty, the program for street racing in the digital realm will be availiable to do, and as it says in the post, you will be able to do much more things in there than you can in the physical realm. This'll help the RP develop and to make it more exciting. It's just like waiting in anticipation for the new skate park to open. Hope you like this. :D

I drew up in the city center, known as the Urban Center. I could see some boys were already lined up for a race through the main streets. Racing the streets here is considered legal, but only if your fast enough, if you're not, then you get busted big time.
I rolled over to the flag girl and wound down my window.
"How much to roll in?" i asked. She looked at me and smilled,
"10 large." she replied,
"Gee, 10,000, it's gettin' hot 'round here, no?" i said as i pulled out a stack of notes, "here, it's all there." i handed over the money.
The girl took the money and walked to the start line, another car roled up beside me, the driver looked like a total newbie, his car was completely 'bolt-on', which means it's no good, at all. He wound his window down,
"Hey! i've heard about you, you're that Diesel guy, right?" he asked,
I turned to him,
"Yeah, what 'bout me?" i asked,
"You're supposed to be pretty hot 'round here." he said, with a grin on his face.
"Really? well, you're 'bout to find out..." i said, i watched closely as the flag girl raised the flag....and....GO!!
I slammed my foot on the gas and threw my way through the gears. I could hear all the other cars squealing as they left rubber trails behind them.....

It was another day off hell at school, only today i gave up in the middile of the day and left through the schools back enternce. I saw some other kids sitting back their smoking and i stopped and hung with them for a moment, taking a few drags but then i left becasue they were heavy smokers and i wasn't so my lung started to burn. I then preceed to tak the bus to go play some games at the large downtown arcade which was hopefully free of kids since school had not yet let out.

Wolf was enjoying himself on his one day of relaxation, but in his job there was no real breaks or days off. As he sat around relaxing and enjoying himself he would always keep an eye open for any form of danger or attack. Even with few breaks he was happy because he liked his job. It gave him a chance to show off any new skill he learned. He was sure though that today was going to be pretty calm.

It was a typical day. Mr. Robinson just gave Dan a surprise quiz a day after giving them a very, very, very, very long midterm exam. After class, he went straight to work, a local fastfood chain at the heart of the city. He was about to go clean the windows when he noticed a teenager, going to the arcade, just across from where he's working.

"RRRIIINNNNGGG...."the school bell rang.I walked home after having lunch at my usual Chinese food restaurant.I was hoping to go home and go online to play Digital Harmony.It's way too boring in the physical world.

Suddenly,five people surrounded me.One of them said,"You're that Fable guy,right?" "And what if I am?"I replied."Well,it's because you defeated us in digital.We were humiliated in front of every user online.But I don't think that you're that tough in physical."They then held up their knives and sticks.I took off the long luggage-bag thing on my back and said,"Do you know what's inside?"

"The HELL do we care!Let's fet rid of him and show him who's boss!"They yelled and charged at me.I lazily opened my bag to reveal two katana handles.I took out a black one,and slash,they fell to the ground with a cut on their chest."Now who's boss?I'm a pro in kendo,so don't mess with the maestro of street fighting in this area,"I said.They ran away screaming.

"Finally!Home sweet home!"I said."Hey,Grandel,got into a fight again?"asked my girlfreind-cum-housemate,Aerine.She plays Digital Harmony too by the name of Angel."C'mon,let's go play."I said and we went to our in-built phone booth.

I was walking thourgh the Land of Unknown. A robot guard ask me why I am here. I repiled I am looking for old prommes.

Trying to beat all the guards and get its body for my research, GenkiYuki was thrilled to find a big monster appeared after having punching all the guard, somehow someone stop me (any of Encrypted Evil user)

Diesel:
Two cars still blocked my path of victory, if i did thee over, then i win the race.
I dodged and weaved through mid-afternoon traffic, making it all the more difficult to take these guys down. Eventually, i dropped a gear and powered my way level with the second place car, then shifted up a gear and took him with no trouble. Next move; sharp turn right down a side street, only just enough room to get two cars down, no chance of overtaking here...
Handbrake turn left, back onto the high street, drop a gear, power it up and i eventually get level with the front liner..he drops a gear, but does it when he's going too fast, so it slows him down. He skids into a parking bay infront of a shop and crashes into the parking meter.
"Rock 'n' Roll baby!!" i shouted as i zoomed for the finish line.
As i crossed the finish line, i cranked on my handbrake and pulled a 180 turn and rolled over to the organiser for my winnings.
"6 racers, 10,000 each, that's 60,000 for you, son." said the organiser.
"Thanks, see ya 'round" i replied as i took the wedge of money.

I went and parked up my car in a space just 10 yards away. I began to feel hungry, i saw a chinese restaurant over the road,
"Hmmm..." i thought, as i walked over.

"What the hell...?Ozzy(short for Ozzydence)!Leon!"I yelled.Angel took out her staff and prepare for battle.She's a white mage,therefore,she is capable of supprting me in battle fully.I looked at the people in weird clothes and said,"Who are you?"

When i got to the arcade it was basiclly empty. I headed over to the Digitel relm consol and logged in.

get in, take the program, get out, that was the mission, unfortunatly Blitz's luck didn't hold up and the cyber police were all over him in no time.

he bolts down the street as cruisers come flying in from behind

Blitz stops, turns around, and activates the panel, multiple computer windows and programs and symbols project out of his eyes. Blitz quickly rearranges some symbols grabs some programs, types a few words.

then the windows suddenly all come together and form a switch in his hand, he smiles as he presses it...BOOM, an explosian rocks the street infront of him, destroying multiple police.

he laughs and runs off as he says to himself "I love hacking"

It's morning and I arrive at work with a smile on my face. "Let's see how Digital Harmony is keeping up."I turn onmy maninconsole and activate a manager server. My smile turns to a normal expression. "What's this? A hacking occurred while I was gone? This won't do. I'll have to put up some more protection programs.*thinks and smiles* That should only take me about 4 hours.*grins*Amateur hackers, prepare to be hacked yourself."

As the day passed by Lance was proven right. There was not one disturbance in the day. So he relaxed swam and partied all day long. As he awoke the next day he was looking into the eyes of one of the gaurdians. " We need you now Lance." He said and before he knew what to do he was transported to a large room with a small group of men.

" One of the gaursians was attacked last night but luckily wasn't killed." reported the gaurduan. The others in the room slightly shocked but Lance was already aware of this possibility.

"So now we are on a stage of high alert then." Lance said back to the gaurdian. The gaurdians nod was enough to let them know what Lance said was true.

" All of you here leave only when neccessary and as shortly as possible." the gaurdian told them. There was a little commotion in the room but overal they agreed and now they had to create a plan..

Fable and Angel

"That's rude of you,"I said.

"......you have potential,and so does your girlfriend.We're humanoid viruses from an organisation called Double Cross.Our job's to hunt down and kill those who have the potential,"one of them said.

"Potential?Yeah,I know I have potential,potential in FIGHTING!!"I yelled and bashed my sword on his head.He drew his sword and blocked my sword with one hand."Apparently,you still don't understand.No normal user can defeat us,only the ones with potential,or short,Might."

"Hmmm....something like 'May the might be with me'?Ozzy,you're up!Now,we play."

After Ozzy changed into sword form,a blinding flash of light covered them,him and Leon.They suddenly changed fromodinary big swords to two different individual swords.Ozzy's sword form,Magnus,changed into a blue sword,semi transparent.Leon's sword form,Ultraqa,changed into a dark blue sword with a transparent blade end.

"Holy crap!He found his potential!"yelled the viruses.

"Now..........we REALLY play."

As i sat down at a table in the Chinese restaurant, my Digi-Pager bleeped and rumbled in my pocket,
"Huh?" i thought, i took it out and read the message, it was fom the Digital Bulletin Board, with a message about racing in the Digital World now available.
"Sweet!" i said to myself. I didn't feel hungry anymore, i ran out into the street and found the nearest Phone Booth.
I dialled the number, 10100101. I felt a strange tingling sensation and sudenly i was in the same Phone Booth, but in the Digital World. The whole city looks almost the same, but there's more technology around, like Cyber Police.
I realised to race here, i needed a car. I couldn't drag my Mustang hrough a Phone Booth...
"Garage....garage, where's the nearest garage?.." i wondered.
I walked around the corner and found two guys in suits, and another two guys with swords, they looked like they meant business.
I was certain that the two suited guys were a from of virus or exile, it could mean trouble for the other two...
I drew my two shotguns and sneaked up behind the two suited guys, i pointed a shotgun at each one's head.
"Which one first?" i said, "Well, i just can't choose..." *BOOM* *BOOM*.....*Click* *Click* the sounds of the shotguns firing and reloading.
"You guys ok?" i asked the two people.

I grabbed my guns and went to the nearest phone booth. I dialed the number and I was in the Digital Harmony. I walked through the alleys until I found the area of one of the races.

We walked and walked.Finally,we reached a racing area.Then,we saw a wolf.

"It's been a while,Fenrir,"said Leon.

"nah sh!t huh, alright, here" hands Blitz a small chip like object "thats the wire transfer program, that'll get ya your two grand, seeya"

Blitz watches them leave before heading to the roof. but he then hears something, sirens, they surround the building as cops run out and nab the men. Unfourtunatly he also hears "there! on the roof!"

Blitz steps back from the ledge, "aww sh!!!!!!!!t"

OOC: I am talking about hacking in general. My person makes software and programs. He is able to acces a manager server of Digital Harmony meaning he can alter it. The hacking protection program works throughout Digital Harmony, inside and out. In the physical and Digital realm. My perosnmade this software since there was a hacking inside Digital Harmony(one of the earlier posts), so he decided to make better hacking protection for it.

"Damn exiles..." i said as i continued to walk the streets looking for the garage.
Suddenly a man in a sharp suit stepped out in front of me,
"'scuse me, sir. May i ask where you are going?" he asked, i turned to face him with a very 'evil' look,
"I'm making my way through these streets, why?" i asked,
"I have something that may interest you, follow me.." he explained.
I followed the man as he walked into a single car garage. He pulled back a cover from a car that was sitting there.
"NO WAY!" i shouted, as i saw my '67 Mustang Fastback emerge from underneath.
"All yours.." the man said,
"What?! for nothing?!" i asked,
"No, i ask only one thing, don't scratch it." he replied.

How about doing the newest system, hacking. Hehe, Heero Yuy, better get ready.

OOC: Sounds impossible though. There is no system that can aid in hacking just multiple progrmas and codes(in binary) that help you get around security systems. Also, the only ppl that possible ppl that would be able to add any software, systems, or programs to DIgital Harmony would most likely be only those who have access to a manager server at Shadow Digitals Inc.

i picked up my playstation2 put in my game of .hack//infection and played that...then i gasped and said "OMG! it's REAL the digital world is real!!!" then i continued played due to the game being better than this thread :D

OOC: yeah, I don't have any .hack games so this is the closest I'll get for now. And yes, I'm pretty sure some of us knew that this was like a thing off of .hack, or at least I knew.

Ok, hacking in the Digital world is possible, Heero won't be able to block EVERY hack there is. I mean, if you read the intro to the story, viruses are accessing old files and exiles to use them, so there are many ways of hacking. Virus protection is still minimal at the minute. This will change as the story develops. But as he asks, describe the hack and then he can decide whether or not it is complex enough.

When i entered the digital world i hurried to the nearest castle in order to get stocked up on supplies. When i got there however i was alerted of a problem with som local bandits. I hurried to the kings chamber in order to offer myself to his neededs as a mercenary for hire.

OOC: I never said I was going to block every one. Read my posts. You're making me sound like the bad guy here. All I said is is that you'll need to describe your hack so it will be successful. Being a lazy hacker and being able to hack just wouldn't make any sense and you would have too much freedom.

I got into the car the guy had given to me, now i could race in the Digital World.
I felt a strange tingle in my finger tips, when i looked i could see them disolving, and it was moving upwards...
"I need to find a booth quickly, i'm timing out!!" i panicked.
I squealed round the street corner and e-stopped next to a phone booth.
"Just too lucky..." i said,
I picked up the phone and dialled home.

I arrived back in the Real World, middle of Metroxia.
I walked around a street corner when a guy feel right next to me..
"Since when was it sensible to do that 'round here?" i said as i gave the guy a hand up.

I wander the streets of Digital Harmony until I reach a building. It looks pretty new and many business officials were inside. I enter and start walking towards the elevator. Most of the ppl stared at me, probably because of how I was dressed. Other were too busy working and filing to notice. I get in the elevator car and push 6. The elevator doors close.

I reach a floor, the elvator doors open and I make my way down the long hallway that leads to one door. I reach it and open it unhesitantly. There are 5 men at the end of the table: one in the center end and the other 4 in the chairs closest to the end. I see one other chair which is right in front of me that is on the entire opposite side of the long narrow table. I take a seat and plant my sword in front of me on the table.

Diesel
The guy took my hand and pulled himslef from the floor.
"The name's Diesel...you'll find my name plastered over cop station's walls all over the city, i'm the infamous street racer..." i introduced myself.
"and you?" i asked.

Grandel and Aerine

"Today's quite peaceful right,Aerine?'I asked."Yeah,so peaceful it's a little boring......"she answered.

"I wonder who those man in black capes are,and why did they attack us?"I said confusingly."Beats me,but they sure are weak..."said Aerine."But I doubt that's the end of it,they don't even look like NPCs or anything.......human yet inhuman.......ugh,I hate thinking......"i said.

"Well,it's already 10pm,so we better get some sleep or we will be late for school tommorow."said Aerine.

The men slide over a file folder. I open it up and analyze everything inside. They explain to me that hackers are being a real problem. They offer me a high sum of money to destroy hacker accounts(killing the person in Digital Harmony) so that they will get the message and so the rate of ppl hacking in the digital realm will reduce. The folder contain some accounts that have already been found to have hacked a few things over the past few months. It's my job to seek them out and kill their accounts. "I accept..."
