Okay if I can remember my first online story I ever did back when playonline.com had a message board, this will be farely similar to it. It takes place over fifty thousand years before the first Final Fantasy games time frame, before even the forming of the four elemental crystals by 25,000 years. During this time the world of Gaia wasn't what it is today by a long shot, the world was in chaos with the elements running rampantto a great extent, many ancient and long forgotten races were nearing their extinctions, but before this happened one final war would determine the fate of Gaia's future. The Quadruple Alliance was formed to fight the Nameless Hordes of the Forgotten suoercontinent.
The Quadruple alliance consisted of four long since ancient races: the oldest immortal race Draelves, the oldest mortal race of all Moogles, the first people to live both on land and sea Dolphinauts, and the youngest immortal race Elves who are a far away cousin race of the Draelves. But I'll cover more on these races later.
The Nameless Hordes consist of many young and old races alike: Dragons who are the brother race to Draelves only they for the most part have long since fallen to darkness, Orcs, Goblins, Zombies, and Wargs.
The leader race of all the Nameless Hordes has now name yet as they have no perminant nor consistant form, but they have many elemental powers. When they first came to Gaia when it first formed they rid the world the the first element, Holy Light, with all there evil and ever since only chaos reigns in Gaia.
The Draelves and Dolphinauts, one race immortal and the other filled with long life but still mortal blood, were the first to races to "awaken" on Gaia. They have fought the Nameless for many hundreds of thousands of years and driven them back. And they thought they brought peace to the land forever, but all there was a silent build up in the Forgotten Supercontinent far to the south of Draelf lands. Over the many 3.4 million years the Nameless remained hidden many new but still ancient races came to be including Elves, Silver Wolves, and Moogles. And new knowledge and peace passed between all these races, while the Nameless race slept into the furthest reaches of memory. But then one day the peace ended, with the sudden and powerful re-emergment of the Nameless and their Hordes swept through all the world bringing back true Darkness. Thus the last nations of the Draelves and Dolphinauts along with the younger Moogles and Elves formed the Quadruple Alliance to fight the Nameless Hordes in this Final Chaos War.
Anyways within this story many young from all these races each receive a vision to fulfill the Final Prophecy. But the Nameless fear this and do everything to stop these young people before their journey even begins.
