[A] My First (and subsequent) Sig(s)

I got bored and saw that practically everyone had a flashy sig except me and being heavily into FF:AC at the moment, i though it id would do one on that.


Bear in mind this is my first ever attempt. I can still re-edit it in Macromedia fireworks, so constructive critisism will do, if there is any.

I think Cloud suddenly reminds me of Godzilla. It's good, though.

My first attempt took like three hours, and I wound up with next to nothing. So I had someone finish it.

I still got a lot to learn on using macromedia, so hopefully i will get better.

Another sig in two days, yes i am bored.

This one took much longer to work around Tifa and the gang but managed to pull it off.

I tried to give it the emotional appeal, thats all to say really, im sure youve all the seen the movie to see what ive done.

It looks good, but the group picture in the lower right corner, looks a little edgy, maybe if you airbrushed the edges of the characters a bit?

yeah ok, no problem.

I re-did the sig, i blurred the edges, it looks smoother now.

So it got to the point where i felt like making a new sig after showing a mate an effect in photoshop. I don't normally make sigs, being that Video editing and effects is my speciality. Anyways, it's the 4th sig i've made in 8 months and also the 4th sig i've ever made.

Cool. I suggest you download some brushes or something to make your sigs more detailed and try some tutorials too :)

Oh you can play around with the filters a little to make em detailed. Thats what I did in the backround of my current sig. You see the lines? Filter :D

Yeah, i know about the filters lol, i meant i cant really give the background detail (think you meant graphics or some style), i wanted to keep the background white, so the Aerith and Cloud picture would blend in perfectly and the feeling that their both looking at each other. If you get what i mean lol.

Thanks Jess, I'm still learning whennever i use Photoshop, i know the filters and most basic stuff. For borders there no option to make it happen is it? Have to draw them yourself don't you?

No. What I do is you select all and then stroke. For the thinest border make it 1px :D

Btw, you should probably know that Stroke is under Edit. And yours might not have it maybe it does but im not sure since I use CS2. :)

Yeah,, it has stroke, i found it out earlier. I did a border and got some sort of an effect across the picture.

I mixed the border with blu and pink for both characters, if anyone happens to wonder.

Another sig i made for a competition on another forums, i had to make a sig of a computer game character and Sonic was the first character that came to mind.
