RPG's for SNESThe Shoeless Hobo 09-30-2005, 07:58 AM Can somebody list some good ones? xP Kawaii Ryűkishi 09-30-2005, 08:10 AM

Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Live-A-Live
Chrono Trigger
Romancing SaGa 3
Star Ocean
Super Mario RPG
The Man 09-30-2005, 08:11 AM Dragon Quest V Dragon Quest VI Secret of Mana Seiken Densetsu 3 'Kishi covered pretty much all the other essentials I can think of. Dreddz 09-30-2005, 08:27 AM Ive only played one SNES Rpg and that was FFVI, which is damn good..... Captain Maxx Power 09-30-2005, 12:20 PM E.V.O. also provides an interesting diversion. omnitarian 09-30-2005, 03:36 PM Don't forget Earthbound. :D Dreddz 09-30-2005, 04:59 PM forget Earthbound The Man 09-30-2005, 05:36 PM Bah, I knew there was at least one great SNES game I'd forgotten. Earthbound is essential. Aphelion 09-30-2005, 07:16 PM Rudora no Hihou, the Soul Blazer saga, Treasure Hunter G, Tales of Phantasia... bipper 09-30-2005, 07:58 PM Breath of fire, Breaoth of fire 2 MecaKane 09-30-2005, 08:35 PM Bahamut Lagoon. Light Mage 09-30-2005, 08:40 PM Dungeon Master, although not really an RPG in the "classic" sense, I loved it. Traitorfish 09-30-2005, 09:25 PM There's probably a thing... err... what? Yeah! Dammit! Scroodle! Why does anyone care about the SNES? It's about 407 years out of date! Hell, Tokugawa Ieyasu had one! All the samurai did! The Japanese are way ahead of us... KoShiatar 09-30-2005, 09:30 PM And so what? I like Tokugawa Ieyasu. GooeyToast 09-30-2005, 09:43 PM forget Earthbound Forget you. EarthBound rocks. Bah, I knew there was at least one great SNES game I'd forgotten. Earthbound is essential. Damn right. :D Lord Chainsaw 09-30-2005, 10:21 PM This thread is lacking in Evermore. It's one of the best RPGs I can think of, and is the most immersive experience you'll find as far as SNES RPGs go. I also thought Dragon View was pretty cool. But calling that game an RPG is a bit of a stretch. It's more of a statistics-based platformer. Very good game. Kawaii Ryűkishi 10-01-2005, 01:06 AM Don't worry about it. This thread is full of non-RPGs as it is. Levian 10-01-2005, 01:16 AM Well, I'm not going to repeat games everyone else said, so I'll just be adding one game to the list. Robotrek. Pretty neat game, you make your own robots that fight for you and you can make special attacks for it. Sounds quite boring, but it's not. I think I have you on MSN. Get online some time and I'll send it to you, if you want it. DMKA 10-01-2005, 02:55 AM forget Earthbound dougicidal 10-01-2005, 06:33 AM

Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Live-A-Live
Chrono Trigger
Romancing SaGa 3
Star Ocean
Super Mario RPG
And to add... (Cause everything you stated is just pure god)
Tales of Phantasia
Seiken Densetsu 2
Seiken Densetsu 3
Bahamut Lagoon And there should be more I haven't thought of or you already posted them... Flying Mullet 10-01-2005, 04:30 PM I also enjoyed Lufia. Lufia II was okay but not as good as the original. dougicidal 10-01-2005, 04:50 PM I played Lufia: Something Something Fortress. It was short... RedCydranth 10-02-2005, 09:30 PM Ah, the SNES RPG... A decent list will include: Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy V Final Fantasy VI Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Breath of Fire Breath of Fire II Star Ocean Earthbound Secret of Mana Secret of Evermore Chrono Trigger Lufia Lufia II Super Mario RPG Also, I can't remember which one it is but there's a Seiken Dentetsu I played which was pretty good. It was the sequel to Secret of Mana. Another decent game that's fun and semi-RPGish was The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang. It was a fun game. Dreddz 10-03-2005, 07:27 PM FF Mystic Quest, damn good game.......... fantasyjunkie 10-04-2005, 07:17 AM I can't remember any right off hand but I remember SNES having some damn good rpgs Fire_Emblem776 10-04-2005, 07:46 AM you all failed to include fire emblem776!! the last snes game ever made in 2001!! dragon warrior I-II snes remake (which i love so much) Halenite 10-04-2005, 03:35 PM I can't find a Star Ocean ROM! Can anyone help? I wanna play this game! also, will a ROM alone fit onto a floppy? dougicidal 10-04-2005, 03:39 PM Umm... Here. I don't go here much but this is where I found mine... WWW.ROMnation.net crono_logical 10-04-2005, 06:05 PM also, will a ROM alone fit onto a floppy? Depends on the size of the ROM - most probably won't even when zipped. Star Ocean certainly won't fit on a single floppy, being the joint largest SNES ROM there is, with Tales of Phantasia, I believe :p dougicidal 10-04-2005, 06:07 PM Star Ocean's a good game... Crossblades 10-11-2005, 08:53 PM Chrono Trigger Breath of Fire Breath of Fire II Dragon Quest I Dragon Quest II Dragon Quest III Earthbound Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy V Final Fantasy VI Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Super Mario RPG Tales of Phantasia Flying Mullet 10-11-2005, 08:56 PM So to summarize, any RPG (and any game that has RPG elements) for the SNES is supposedly a good RPG. Crossblades 10-11-2005, 08:57 PM So to summarize, any RPG (and any game that has RPG elements) for the SNES is supposedly a good RPG. Yeah, exactly | |
