Hi, I just finished SOMEWHAT making an RPG, its a sequal to an RPG my friend made so it might be kinda hard to get, but I just want feedback, so if you can, take the time to read it, and tell me what you think!
Game Script
(Narrator with theme music): In all worlds, there are stories of pain and sorrow. Stories of love and hate, but in a small world thousands of years ago, before life began on ‘Earth’, people had to face their hardships, and fight for their freedom that some once had, and most never had. This story takes place 10 years after our Dark Lord Netto brought peace between the Dark and Light Empire, bringing both to respect each others beliefs. But not all were happy about this change. People of the Dark Empire were furious with Netto’s change of heart and mind. They took over, naming it the New Dark Empire, striking fear upon all. They immediately brought end to the once powerful Light Empire, and took hold of the Water Empire. But not all hope was lost, Netto left for the Eastern Continent, ready to start a new war.
Netto (talking to his army): We must fight for what was rightfully ours!
(army): Yeah!
Netto: We must bring peace once again upon all the Empires, upon all the land!
(army): Yeah!
Netto: We must fight for what we lost, for who we lov-
Dirgo: ‘For who we love??’ You don’t ‘love’ anyone. All you ever did was take Rei from her home and then murder her!
Soldier: Shut up Dirgo! You’re just pissed cuz’ Rei loved Netto and not you.
(army): *laughs*
Netto: Shut up! I want no grudges to be held, we are all fighting for the same thing here. I know some of you may not like me, or may not like one another. But for now, we must put all differences aside, and fight the New Dark Empire! To summon the great Phoenix! To bring glory to us, the Warriors of the Phoenix!
*cheers*
(night, by campfire)
Netto: We will leave early in the morning, head toward the Eastern shore, to get to the Western continent, in search of the great Phoenix.
Soldier 1: Sir, what exactly is the great ‘Phoenix’?
Dirgo: A phoenix dumba-
Soldier: I know, I know. But what will it do for us?
Edgar: The awesome powers of the Phoenix is the only thing that can defeat the Dark Empires leader, Sorceress Isabella.
Netto: That’s right, we just need to find the one with those powers to command such a creature.
Dirgo: I see… if you don’t mind my asking, why the hell is this little wimp ‘Edgar’ with us? From what I’ve heard, he doesn’t even know how to use his own powers!
Netto: That may be true, but he holds great potential, he will help lead us to the Phoenix, and to victory.
Dirgo: Oh yeah?? What make you so sure?
Netto: He shares the same blood as I. He is the son of Neira, as I am the son of Aura. He holds a great power somewhere in him, he just hasn’t found it yet.
(morning)
Run across path as Netto. Several fight scenes. Makes it to the shore.
Dirgo: O.k. O.k. so we’re here. Now what??? Do we swim???
Netto: No… ( raises hands and freezes over the oceans water) I think we’re capable of walking.
Dark Soldier: Freeze!
Edgar: What’s a Dark Soldier doing here?
Netto: I don’t know. But I think we can take one.
(battle with Netto, Dirgo, and Edgar)
Dirgo: Tch’, that was easy.
Dark Solder2: Freeze! (several dark soldiers surround them)
Netto: This hard enough for ya’?
(in Water Kingdoms jail celler)
Netto: Sir, may I ask what the Dark Empire is doing here?
Water Soldier: The Dark Empire took control of the Water Kingdom not to long ago. They have the right to be on our grounds and patrol whenever they wish, and we are forced to execute any trait-
Dirgo: Execute?!?! Those stupid Dark Soldiers, they gotta’ lot of-
Water Soldier: They aren’t Dark Soldiers, they are much too powerful. They are the ‘Demon Warriors’. Don’t worry though- *whisper* King Oswald of the Sea is ordering your release from our best warrior and mage, the great Sheila! She will fight along side you, um.
Netto: Warriors of the Phoenix.
Water Soldier: Yes! Warriors of the Phoenix, to stop the Dark Empire, and bring our Kingdom freedom again.
Netto: Well give King Oswald our thanks, we’ll just wait until then.
(Night)
Edgar: (awakens) Who’s there??
????: Sh!
Netto: Oh, you must be the great Sheila?
Sheila: Mmhmm, and great I am! Now let me just unlock this and… bam! There ya’ go, free of charge! But no time for thanks, we gotta get going, don’t worry about that fancy trick ya’ did before, we got a big ol’ boat for ya’!
Follows Sheila to boat
Sheila: Pretty big boat huh? Well we got a big army for ya’, so we need it. Now let’s get going.
(Morning)
Sheila: Morning time! Come on’ ya’ lazy bums, get up!
Netto: Sorry, I hope we didn’t keep your crew waiting.
Sheila: Oh no, we just started breakfast! No need to worry.
Edgar: Well hope your cooks are good (jumps up and runs for breakfast)
Netto: Growing boy, needs his food.
Sheila: Ofcourse! Food aint’ that good though.
(Netto walks off for breakfast)
Dirgo: Sorry to keep you waiting, I was dreaming of NOT being on this stupid boat. Woahh, ugh… I’ll be in the bathroom (runs to bathroom).
Sheila: *Sigh* Walks off to breakfast.
(while eating)
Sheila: So this “Phoenix” thing, you sure it’s on the western continent? Seems kinda’ convenient, right where the Dark Empire is and all.
Netto: We aren’t sure of anything, but we have no time to waste.
Sheila: I see, well I sure hope you’re lucky and find this Phoenix of yours, but don’t worry ‘Sheila the Great’ and her army can be backup just in case.
Netto: Ofcourse.
Water Soldier: Demon Warriors! *huff* on the *puff* boat!
Netto: Quickly, we must get them off the boat immediately.
Fight scenes with whatever party you chose.
Sheila: Well looks like we beat em’, weren’t all that hard. And we’re already at shore! Ha, just a time killer, that’s all they were!
(Goes on shore)
Netto: Ah, the beautiful forests… let’s go!
Dirgo: Only way to go really…
Goes through forests, severel fights.
Ends up in a burnt down Forest Village.
????: Who’s there?? Is it those stupid Dark Empire basta-
????: Oh! Nope, you’re a resistance aren’t you?? Well so are we! The names Anna! Pleased to meet you!
Edgar: The pleasure is ours. What happened to this forest? And um… well where exactly are we?
Anna: This WAS the Forest Kingdom, but then one tragic day..
(cut scene to the day of the fire)
Anna voice over: This fire started, it killed most of the people of our Kingdom, except for us, the ‘Resistance’! I saw him though, the one who started the fire. He was in all black and had a cloak that covered his face! I’m sure it was someone of the New Dark Empire… Wait… You’re Netto! Son of Aura! And you- you’re Edgar, son of Neira. This MUST be a blessing! Please, let us come with you, ya’ know, strength in numbers. Don’t worry, I already know what you’re looking for! The Phoenix!
Netto: How did you know?
Anna: Oh, we know everything about mythical creatures and such… It’s closer though, I can feel the Phoenix.
Dirgo: Looks like Netto was right about something atleast.
Edgar: Ignore him.
Anna: Yes… Please let us come though, we can help you… and…
Edgar: And…?
Anna: I know it sounds stupid, but I need my revenge, they killed my family and most of my friends… and so did everyone else that survived the fire! We need our revenge!
Netto: I understand. Lost love leads to fear. Fear leads to hate, but remember, hate can only lead to more loss.
Dirgo: What’s that supposed to mean?
Netto: Oh just me trying to make a sad attempt of making sense of this world. Now lets go on, there’s no time to lose.
Goes through the rest of the forest to arrive in something that looks like a cemetery.
Edgar: How pleasant…
Anna: That’s weird, I never even knew there was a place like this anywhere near here.
Netto: You wouldn’t, it’s a cemetery for the old underground military unit called the Lost Souls. They were defeated by both the Light Empire and the old Dark Empire, when we weren’t on opposite sides.
Anna: Sad… so many people had died.
Netto: I can’t say they’re people… we don’t know who or what they were, but they were powerful, and against us… I don’t know why, but we had to take them down before people were to get hurt.
????: And people still were hurt.
Netto: Who’s there?
????: The names Shadow, don’t care for telling you my story, maybe later though.
Edgar: What do you want?
Shadow: Same thing you all want… revenge, love, power, the works. I have no army, but I promise to bring you something I doubt you have, and that’s powers darker than the Dark Sorceress herself.
Dirgo: I don’t think we need your powers Shadow.
Netto: You know him.
Dirgo: Yeah he was a stray, they let him into our village cuz’ his family left him as an infant. He’s a bully that’s all he is.
Shadow: Hm… I guess I won’t come if you think you don’t need me.
Netto: No, I admit that I fear letting something with dark powers come in contact with our army, but we may end up needing powers like yours.
Shadow: Well let’s get going, I don’t feel like giving small talk.
Goes through cemetery and sets camp on nearby road, some fight scenes with chosen party.
Shadow: Oh, you’re Neira’s son? Edgar, I believe. Am I correct?
Edgar: Yeah… how did you kno-
Shadow: Like I said, I don’t like small talk, your mother would want you to have this though. ( hands Edgar a book ). It explains your true powers…
(night)
Edgar: Netto…?
Netto: Yes Edgar?
Edgar: I know my powers.
Netto: You do?! Why that’s great. But how?
Edgar: Shadow gave me a book from my mother though… I’m the… the Commander of the Phoenix. (shows Netto the book).
Netto: I understand… we should turn back and-
Edgar: No! These are my powers! This is my task! This is what I have to do… for my mother! I am Edgar, son of Neira, Commander of the Phoenix. I must do this.
Netto: Very well…
(Next day)
Anna: So you’re.. you’re going to…
Edgar: Yes…
Anna: But, but, you can’t! I have barely even gotten to know you. And I don’t know for sure, but I think I may…
Edgar: …?
Anna: I love you Edgar… (begins to cry)
Edgar: … (blinks back a tear and holds Anna tightly)
(Later on)
Netto: Netto we have one more night before heading up to the Dark Empire… Make this night last, all of you.
(army): Sir, yes sir!
Wounded Water Soldier: Sheila…
Sheila: Huh??? Adam! What are you doing here?? And what happened, are you hurt??
Adam: I’m fine… I’m sorry Sheila.
Sheila: What?
Adam: The Dark Empire found out you let the prisoners go… King Oswald blamed your family… they were executed… I tried to save them but I couldn’t… I’m sorry.
Sheila: … (letting her anger take over) You… you must die. (stabs Adam with her spear, and hides him in a nearby forest)
(Campfire, full party)
Anna: So.. we all barely know each other… so c’mon! lets go around and talk about our pasts! … Any volunteers…? None? Fine! I’ll go first. Well see I was a happy child, the only child. My family loved me and- Hey why are you laughing??
Shadow: Oh sorry, no, I love stories… please, go on.
Anna: O.k. well then the Dark Empire came and burnt down our village and everything! They’re murderers! That’s what they are!
????: Hmph, wasn’t the Dark Empire.
(everyone looks up)
Anna: ... You, you’re a forest spirit aren’t you! But what do you mean?? It HAD to be the Dark Empire.
Spirit: Yes, I am a Forest Spirit. But no, it wasn’t the Dark Empire. It was an old member a military unit called the Lost Souls.
Anna: Huh?? What did we do to them??? I never even knew who they were till earlier today!
Spirit: The person who did it, didn’t do it for the Lost Souls, he did it for his own revenge on your family.
Anna: What?? But… but who?
Spirit: (points at Shadow, and fades away)
(everyone stares at Shadow)
Shadow: Well… I guess it’s my turn huh?
Anna: Damn right it’s your turn! Why?!?!
Fades to cut scene with Shadows voice over
Shadow: As you all know I was abandoned by my family as an infant, left in the hands of the Light Kingdom. I was an outsider because I had no one… They took care of me… but no one really cared about me you could say. Got in a lot of fights, I wouldn’t fight back though. One day this idiot, Dirgo, was trying to impress a girl named Rei, and started picking a fight with me. I was angered, at the time I was only six and he was seven. I didn’t attempt to do anything… I was just mad… and that’s when it happened, a deep cut just suddenly appeared on his cheek out of no where, that’s why he has the scar. They planned to execute me, because they didn’t understand my powers… That’s how they work, if they don’t understand, they kill. Luckily I made my way out and went searching for somewhere to stay. I eventually came upon the Dark Empire. They took me in, but didn’t give me their mark. So I remained an outcast, and was often made fun of. That was until seventeen, and I realized my true powers. I have the powers to morph into a demon, and raise Hell on earth, all by myself. Think of it seventeen and you can raise Hell… I didn’t though. I decided to go out and learn more about my family, and my powers, and fought with the Lost Souls, since they fought against both the Light Empire and the Dark Empire, and I of course hated both. It took me many years, and eventually the Lost Souls were stopped, and I was once again all alone. That’s around the time I found out who my parents were. A small family who lived in the Forest Village. Had a daughter named Anna I believe it was… You see, Anna was perfect, she was complete with nature, I had no such powers over nature, but powers of darkness, hate, sorrow, and Hell. So they abandoned me, praising Anna as their “only child”. And that was my revenge, burning down the town that gave me away. But I let you live, because you were my sister, I never even knew you. I let my parents live too, but I had them transported to a dark place, where they are all alone, like I was for so many years. So they can feel the Hell they put me through…
(Back to campfire)
Shadow: And that’s my story, sis’.
Anna: So… you, you’re my brother? But my… our parents…
Shadow: Like I said, still alive, but being alive for them may be worse… I’ll leave you all be-
Netto: Wait.
Shadow: Yes?
Netto: Now tell us, why are you here? To raise Hell and overthrow everyone?
Shadow: Of course not! I love this sad, stupid world we live in! The way it works… why it’s just beginning to make sense! The reason I joined you was simply to finally meet my sister… and to save her. ( Shadow leaves campfire)
Party walks to Dark Empire (whichever party you chose) several battles.
Once they reach the Empire, army stays, while Netto, Edgar, Dirgo, Anna, Sheila, and Shadow go up to command Phoenix, and defeat the Dark Sorceress.
Dirgo: Well I guess you aren’t that important after all? You know to defeating the Sorceress.
Netto: We all are important… everyone.
Dirgo: Netto, there’s always been something I’ve been wanting to do since the death of Rei.
Netto: And what’s that?
Dirgo: Netto, I truly, from the very bottom of my heart, hate you more than I could ever hate anything.
At this Dirgo draws his bow and arrow and shoots him in the head.
Dirgo: Been saving that arrow especially for you Netto.
Edgar: How… How could you do that???
Dirgo: Oh shut up, his time was going to come anyways, and yours is too after you summon the Phoenix, and the rest of you, well I can just kill you and say you were attacked by the Sorceress-
(Dirgo falls to the ground, lying in a puddle of his own blood. After he falls an image of Shadow remains, his Claws covered in blood)
Sheila: Madness… this is madness! We can’t have people just killing one another (takes a step towards Shadow) oh no, can’t have that! (draws her spear).
Anna: Sheila what are you doing!
Sheila: We can’t trust him, he’s full of darkness, he’d admit it to. ( Sheila drives her spear through Shadows gut, and pushes him off the cliff to fall to the ocean)
Sheila: Let’s go, not much time left.
(The party continues going up the mountain to the grounds where Phoenix is to be summoned)
Once they reach the summoning grounds Anna and Edgar begin to relax, but Sheila is still gripping her spear tightly.
Sheila: Well, it’s been fun guys
Anna and Edgar give a puzzled look.
Sheila: I’ve lost everything you see… but soon I shall control the world with fear and with death, you two shall be the first to die!
(Raises her spear to throw at Edgar, but Anna runs forward to stop her)
Anna: Please, don’t!
Sheila: Aw… sorry, but I have to. (casts a spell that freezes Anna and Edgar in place. She raises her spear to stab Anna, as a bullet is shot. Sheila’s spell is broken, and she falls the ground, with a bullet in her skull. Anna and Edgar look up to see who it was that saved them, but only see the shadow of their savior. Anna runs to Edgar’s arms, both beginning to cry.)
Anna: I love you Edgar.
Edgar: And I love you…
(Edgar summons the Phoenix and instantly falls screaming in pain. A white light engulfs them, and the next scene is Anna standing all alone, beginning to walk down to tell the remaining army of the good, and bad, news.

Shadow: Like I said, I don’t like small talk, your mother would want you to have this though. ( hands Edgar a book ). It explains your true powers…
(night)
Edgar: Netto…?
Netto: Yes Edgar?
Edgar: I know my powers.
Netto: You do?! Why that’s great. But how?
Edgar: Shadow gave me a book from my mother though… I’m the… the Commander of the Phoenix. (shows Netto the book).
Netto: I understand… we should turn back and-
Edgar: No! These are my powers! This is my task! This is what I have to do… for my mother! I am Edgar, son of Neira, Commander of the Phoenix. I must do this.
Netto: Very well…
(Next day)
Anna: So you’re.. you’re going to…
Edgar: Yes…
Anna: But, but, you can’t! I have barely even gotten to know you. And I don’t know for sure, but I think I may…
Edgar: …?
Anna: I love you Edgar… (begins to cry)
Edgar: … (blinks back a tear and holds Anna tightly)
(Later on)
Netto: Netto we have one more night before heading up to the Dark Empire… Make this night last, all of you.
(army): Sir, yes sir!
Wounded Water Soldier: Sheila…
Sheila: Huh??? Adam! What are you doing here?? And what happened, are you hurt??
Adam: I’m fine… I’m sorry Sheila.
Sheila: What?
Adam: The Dark Empire found out you let the prisoners go… King Oswald blamed your family… they were executed… I tried to save them but I couldn’t… I’m sorry.
Sheila: … (letting her anger take over) You… you must die. (stabs Adam with her spear, and hides him in a nearby forest)
(Campfire, full party)
Anna: So.. we all barely know each other… so c’mon! lets go around and talk about our pasts! … Any volunteers…? None? Fine! I’ll go first. Well see I was a happy child, the only child. My family loved me and- Hey why are you laughing??
Shadow: Oh sorry, no, I love stories… please, go on.
Anna: O.k. well then the Dark Empire came and burnt down our village and everything! They’re murderers! That’s what they are!
????: Hmph, wasn’t the Dark Empire.
(everyone looks up)
Anna: ... You, you’re a forest spirit aren’t you! But what do you mean?? It HAD to be the Dark Empire.
Spirit: Yes, I am a Forest Spirit. But no, it wasn’t the Dark Empire. It was an old member a military unit called the Lost Souls.
Anna: Huh?? What did we do to them??? I never even knew who they were till earlier today!
Spirit: The person who did it, didn’t do it for the Lost Souls, he did it for his own revenge on your family.
Anna: What?? But… but who?
Spirit: (points at Shadow, and fades away)
(everyone stares at Shadow)
Shadow: Well… I guess it’s my turn huh?
Anna: Damn right it’s your turn! Why?!?!
Fades to cut scene with Shadows voice over
Shadow: As you all know I was abandoned by my family as an infant, left in the hands of the Light Kingdom. I was an outsider because I had no one… They took care of me… but no one really cared about me you could say. Got in a lot of fights, I wouldn’t fight back though. One day this idiot, Dirgo, was trying to impress a girl named Rei, and started picking a fight with me. I was angered, at the time I was only six and he was seven. I didn’t attempt to do anything… I was just mad… and that’s when it happened, a deep cut just suddenly appeared on his cheek out of no where, that’s why he has the scar. They planned to execute me, because they didn’t understand my powers… That’s how they work, if they don’t understand, they kill. Luckily I made my way out and went searching for somewhere to stay. I eventually came upon the Dark Empire. They took me in, but didn’t give me their mark. So I remained an outcast, and was often made fun of. That was until seventeen, and I realized my true powers. I have the powers to morph into a demon, and raise Hell on earth, all by myself. Think of it seventeen and you can raise Hell… I didn’t though. I decided to go out and learn more about my family, and my powers, and fought with the Lost Souls, since they fought against both the Light Empire and the Dark Empire, and I of course hated both. It took me many years, and eventually the Lost Souls were stopped, and I was once again all alone. That’s around the time I found out who my parents were. A small family who lived in the Forest Village. Had a daughter named Anna I believe it was… You see, Anna was perfect, she was complete with nature, I had no such powers over nature, but powers of darkness, hate, sorrow, and Hell. So they abandoned me, praising Anna as their “only child”. And that was my revenge, burning down the town that gave me away. But I let you live, because you were my sister, I never even knew you. I let my parents live too, but I had them transported to a dark place, where they are all alone, like I was for so many years. So they can feel the Hell they put me through…
(Back to campfire)
Shadow: And that’s my story, sis’.
Anna: So… you, you’re my brother? But my… our parents…
Shadow: Like I said, still alive, but being alive for them may be worse… I’ll leave you all be-
Netto: Wait.
Shadow: Yes?
Netto: Now tell us, why are you here? To raise Hell and overthrow everyone?
Shadow: Of course not! I love this sad, stupid world we live in! The way it works… why it’s just beginning to make sense! The reason I joined you was simply to finally meet my sister… and to save her. ( Shadow leaves campfire)
Party walks to Dark Empire (whichever party you chose) several battles.
Once they reach the Empire, army stays, while Netto, Edgar, Dirgo, Anna, Sheila, and Shadow go up to command Phoenix, and defeat the Dark Sorceress.
Dirgo: Well I guess you aren’t that important after all? You know to defeating the Sorceress.
Netto: We all are important… everyone.
Dirgo: Netto, there’s always been something I’ve been wanting to do since the death of Rei.
Netto: And what’s that?
Dirgo: Netto, I truly, from the very bottom of my heart, hate you more than I could ever hate anything.
At this Dirgo draws his bow and arrow and shoots him in the head.
Dirgo: Been saving that arrow especially for you Netto.
Edgar: How… How could you do that???
Dirgo: Oh shut up, his time was going to come anyways, and yours is too after you summon the Phoenix, and the rest of you, well I can just kill you and say you were attacked by the Sorceress-
(Dirgo falls to the ground, lying in a puddle of his own blood. After he falls an image of Shadow remains, his Claws covered in blood)
Sheila: Madness… this is madness! We can’t have people just killing one another (takes a step towards Shadow) oh no, can’t have that! (draws her spear).
Anna: Sheila what are you doing!
Sheila: We can’t trust him, he’s full of darkness, he’d admit it to. ( Sheila drives her spear through Shadows gut, and pushes him off the cliff to fall to the ocean)
Sheila: Let’s go, not much time left.
(The party continues going up the mountain to the grounds where Phoenix is to be summoned)
Once they reach the summoning grounds Anna and Edgar begin to relax, but Sheila is still gripping her spear tightly.
Sheila: Well, it’s been fun guys
Anna and Edgar give a puzzled look.
Sheila: I’ve lost everything you see… but soon I shall control the world with fear and with death, you two shall be the first to die!
(Raises her spear to throw at Edgar, but Anna runs forward to stop her)
Anna: Please, don’t!
Sheila: Aw… sorry, but I have to. (casts a spell that freezes Anna and Edgar in place. She raises her spear to stab Anna, as a bullet is shot. Sheila’s spell is broken, and she falls the ground, with a bullet in her skull. Anna and Edgar look up to see who it was that saved them, but only see the shadow of their savior. Anna runs to Edgar’s arms, both beginning to cry.)
Anna: I love you Edgar.
Edgar: And I love you…
(Edgar summons the Phoenix and instantly falls screaming in pain. A white light engulfs them, and the next scene is Anna standing all alone, beginning to walk down to tell the remaining army of the good, and bad, news.
