Are you saying it's silly to not want to be labelled an atheist as you are religious? Even if you say it doesn't matter if you're an atheist, in many religions to deny your religion is a sin in itself. Don't label them silly just because they are following their own religion. Religion is, when one is actually religious, generally considered to be a very serious matter. *nods*

I never said that you couldn't, I merely said that you shouldn't prejudice people as "silly" merely because they might see labelling themself as atheist - even if it's just jokingly - as wrong, according to their beliefs. That's like saying their beliefs are silly!

As an analogy, suppose I decided not to support the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) on the grounds that I am not Royalty, I would be extremely silly. The same applies here, as you need not be an atheist to join, and people of all religions (or non-religions) are equally welcomed. Even scientologists.

Besides, I think you're getting a bit worked up over the idea of silliness. Silly isn't a bad thing, and can even be construed as a sign of innocence. Tweety-Pie is silly, Sooty is silly, Gau is silly. In fact, every member of BAoTW is silly as well, and that's what distinguishes us from your garden-variety EoFFer. Yay for silliness.
