The 2004 End of Year Ciddies Winner Revelation Thread! (Tally now in first post)

Hello ladies and gentleman, good morning, good afternoon and good evening to you all and welcome to the official winner revelations thread for the Seventh Bi-Annual Ciddies. These Ciddies have been brought to you by various sponsors including the Ciddies Committee, Eyes on Final Fantasy Forums and Chatroom Community, The Cookie Monster Smilie and A Picture Of A Turkey Hitting A Dog. I'll be your host for tonight, don't expect me to do much or be that entertaining, after all, we're here for the results and YOU are the people who make it interesting! And I have a broken hand so most of this will be without commentary by myself or BoB. PLEASE, provide commentary where you can to help me out. It's notable that I do not intend on double posting - so get into the spirit of things!

As it was done successfully last time, the Ciddies will be announced from award #41 to award #50, then award #40 to award #1. In the first post for each award, the tally will be released with all but the top 2 (or more in the case of ties for second) nominees. The second post for each award will then be posted stating which of them won. The interval between my posts might be anywhere from 1 minute to eight hours (not 1-2 minutes like I said last time - most of us know how that turned out :p). Try to keep posts on topic, please, but otherwise feel free to have fun and let us know your thoughts on what's going on.

Finally, please bare with me as I may take some time to do this, and will probably take 1-2 days altogether. xD

Well, the numbers are stacked in Joel's favour... although 'favour' kind of seems like the wrong word when it comes to this Ciddie. He's won it three times in a row, he's defending (again, not the right word?!) it, he lead the nominations AND five out of six predictors put him down as getting run over. Again. Will his luck ever turn around, and if so, could it turn around now?

How can anyone not pick Ouch!? I know we all want Joel to get hit by a bus, but that's not something funny, its just a pleasant dream.

The question is, if Joel didn't get run over, was it a different driver? Unheard of... well, not entirely. Rumour has it that Dr Unne once hit Raistlin with a bus, although it didn't happen in any award-related events (unless it went unrecorded). Otherwise, Wyllius has the longest running hold of any award with this bus, having won the entire seven times since the EoFF Awards in May 2001. Not a bad run - he's run over five members in that time - including himself. Still, the squad have the Dooms in front of him 3-2, with Psy fancying himself with the bus.

I think Misfit would take a lot of pleasure in hitting someone with a bus, since she's such a big fan of roadkill and kittens eating babies and so on. :D Although I wouldn't rule PsyPsy out either!

The Dooms are out of the game, as is Misfit, who was leading the votes for quite some time during the week. However, a lack of votes in the second half put Wyllius and Psychotic to make up the final two. Will Wyll continue his rampage and add yet another name to his list, or has Psychotic grabbed the wheel during the Scot's period of inactivity?

Ooh Misfit was so close, unsurprisingly. ^_~ I don't even know who Wyllius is though so I have no idea between those two...

Wyllius pays the price for leaving the keys in the each of Psy! A long reign has now ended, and Psy is the new man in the driver's seat.

Gotta say though, for a member who has only really posted in Eizon over the last six months, he put up a fight. A respectable bus driver's salute to Wyllius, the only person to win a single award seven times, let alone seven times in a row (and unless Leeza wins Nicest Member again this weekend, the only member to win a Ciddie six times in a row, too).

Damn that Psychotic. You should never trust him with a bus. He's been playing too much GTA:San Andreas I think....

He used to take injured bunnies off the street and nurse them back to health. Then he played GTA:SA, and now he runs people over for fun. That jerk. :(

Denmark may have missed out on being MLT Win A Ciddie for the Very First Time, but that doesn't mean he can't get his very first win anyway! Denmark upsets favourite Meat Puppet with his awesome angling skills and a two vote lead. Strider was the only predictor to see this happening.

Well well, I always saw Denmark as being quite smart. He listens to Blink therefore he is my idol anyway. I had a friend who sat in his front garden with a fishing rod, and all the gear once. So maybe it's not such an uncommon thing for people to fish in places that aren't water. Umm yeah. *is quiet*
