I thought I had good reasons to avoid McDonald's.

I was wrong, now I know them: It encourages flash movies that involve God killing kittens. And some weird leopard person or something.

I believe I heard that McDonald's secret item in the fries was some sort of meat oil.. and it led to all sorts of problems. I think that may have been a few years ago however.

Again, I'd prefer truth served with a side of sanity myself.

No, I don't believe AIDS was created. Dunno, maybe, there are reasons to believe it was, yet no evidence. It's an interesting theory though, I love conspiracy theories, not because I believe them, but because I find them very curious, and some even have sense. It's still fun to read, along with all the spiritualist stuff and ghost stories which I don't believe at all. Not bad to kill time though. It also gives some ideas for stories to think up when you are bored in class.

The virus mutated a little, enabling it to infect some poor soul who was bitten by a monkey; from then on, we know the rest. It's simply not possible that the virus was "designed" by anyone for any purpose; 1970s genetic engineering didn't have the capability. Even today, we don't; hence why FOXDIE and Syphon Filter remain plot devices in video games rather than real threats.

You can't get AIDS from saliva. If it originally came from monkeys, someone must have either shared a needle with a monkey, or slept with a monkey without protection. I find both things very unlikely, and any West African will beat you up for suggesting that.

If the monkey has any blood or damaged tissues in its mouth, then its bite can transfer the virus.
Monkeys suffer AIDs, too, so we know that the disease is shared by both species; a mutation in the virus is what is suggested by the evidence, and supported by most scientists. I'm not certain how a vaccination could lead to the emergence of an entirely new virus, since most vaccines use only dead viral matter, sometimes in a bacterial host...
