Most beautiful movie...Breine 02-27-2004, 08:41 PM What's the most beautiful movie you've ever seen? EDIT: I'm talking visuals here... :) Strider 02-27-2004, 09:15 PM I don't know if you'd call it "beautiful", but Saving Private Ryan has to be near the top of the list for the way it shows that war really is hell. Loony BoB 02-27-2004, 09:19 PM I'm desperately trying to think of how Strider linked "Saving Private Ryan" with "beautiful" :( Hmm. Fellowship of the Ring, Waterworld (because water is pretty)... I dunno. I can't think of any superly beautiful movies right now. :( Burtsplurt 02-27-2004, 09:21 PM Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Beautiful scenery and the fight scenes are almost balletic. Strider 02-27-2004, 09:43 PM I'm desperately trying to think of how Strider linked "Saving Private Ryan" with "beautiful" :(You've seen it, right? It certainly is visually stunning. Cid 02-27-2004, 09:50 PM What Dreams May Come was pretty, but it sucked. Hook was beautiful :) Kawaii Ryűkishi 02-27-2004, 09:57 PM Kill Bill, Volume the First. White Raven 02-27-2004, 10:36 PM Finding Nemo >_< Del Murder 02-27-2004, 11:55 PM Scarface. Yamaneko 02-28-2004, 12:35 AM Scarface is unique, but I liked Blade Runner's visuals more. They didn't rely on special effects like so many other movies. Halan 02-28-2004, 12:44 AM Girl With a Pearl Earring. Slightly boring, but vibrant colors punched through the Catholic exterior and brought out the beauty of a painter. Advent Child 02-28-2004, 01:40 AM If animations count, then spirited away or princess mononoke. If not, then Kill bill vol 1. Reason 02-28-2004, 02:29 AM Hero. Sort of reminded me of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which also is a beautiful movie. PeTeRL90 02-28-2004, 02:55 AM Scarface indeed. Drizzt 02-28-2004, 04:36 AM Meet Joe Black. What can I say, I liked the pool. ---> almost a decent visual justification for my choice. Mr. Graves 02-28-2004, 06:30 AM Kill Bill Vol. 1 or Chunking Express. *nod* ShlupQuack 02-28-2004, 06:38 AM Moulin Rouge was beautiful. Too bad it sucked. Adeselna 02-28-2004, 06:20 PM I loved "Final Fantasy - The spirits within", "Resident Evil", "The Last Samurai" and every "Scarie Movie"! Actually in Forest Gump, Final Fantasy and in the Last Samurai I eneded up crying and crying! In Scarie Movie I cryed of laughing!:p I hope that one day I will see a film realized by my own! Calliope 02-29-2004, 04:35 AM A Beautiful Mind. RSL 02-29-2004, 04:54 AM Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It's just pleasing to look at. Carl 03-01-2004, 08:41 PM The Shawshank Redemption, a beautiful story of hope :) SomethingBig 03-02-2004, 03:31 AM Star Wars: Episode II. Though, nowhere near better than Episode I, it had incredible visuals, especially during that picnic scene with Anakin and Padme. Blues Agent 03-02-2004, 03:43 AM Moulin Rouge. DocFrance 03-02-2004, 03:58 AM Originally posted by Carl The Shawshank Redemption, a beautiful story of hope :) Siwolae 03-03-2004, 06:13 AM do foreign films count? if yeah, i say, the Korean romantic movieSiwolae (love that transcends time) aka Il Mare to some people. great cinematography and a wonderful story. UltimaSephiroth 04-24-2004, 12:08 AM Lost In Translation, The Last Samurai, Cast Away, or Road To Perdition Jewels 04-24-2004, 01:53 AM Forrest Gump and Amelie. Del Murder 04-24-2004, 03:06 AM Edward Scissorhands is another beautiful movie. The Captain 04-24-2004, 05:58 AM Princess Mononoke hands down for me. I'd also throw in the LOTR's trilogy for sheer epic scale. Take care all. noname 04-24-2004, 06:00 AM Haha. Scarface, you guys. I so want to get all high like that at the end of the movie and he's all like say hello to my lil' friend, and dodging those bullets like he's invisable. But then spoiler***** some bastard creep behind him and blows him away :( Also Lost in Translation and Enemy at the Gates, good movies. Breine 04-24-2004, 12:54 PM Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Big Fish - Lord Of The Rings... There're so many more, but these are the ones that's really stuck in my mind when it comes to visuals. Rigormortis 04-24-2004, 11:29 PM Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Beautiful scenery and the fight scenes are almost balletic. You cannot claim the fight scenes are so good. There the biggest faked up special effect filled weapon fights ever. And that's not including all the prancin and flyin about they do. It's like forcing yourself to watch the Street Fighter film and all the Mortal Kombats all over again and again. You want good fights you look to Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan (the greates action film person ever, acting, fighting, directing and choreographing) or even to Van Damme. (Definitly not Jet Li though.) As for a beautiful film I'd have to say LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring. All of the scenery, the lakes, those huge stone statues of the past kings. They're brill, probably took ages to compute too. Bernhard 04-25-2004, 03:19 PM You cannot claim the fight scenes are so good. There the biggest faked up special effect filled weapon fights ever. And that's not including all the prancin and flyin about they do. He can claim whatever he wants. It's called personal preference. At the moment, my vote would have to go to The City of Lost Children (La Cité des enfants perdus). Breine 04-25-2004, 07:21 PM You cannot claim the fight scenes are so good. There the biggest faked up special effect filled weapon fights ever. And that's not including all the prancin and flyin about they do. It's like forcing yourself to watch the Street Fighter film and all the Mortal Kombats all over again and again. I have a friend who says exactly the same. But I totally disagree! I love the fight scenes in that movie! They're so god damn beautiful! The flying around was intended... and that's that. Calliope 04-26-2004, 06:27 AM Saving Private Ryan. Rinoabella 04-26-2004, 07:17 AM If you're talking about 'visuals', I'd say: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy The Lion King The Last Unicorn *ETERNAL FANTASY* 04-30-2004, 05:10 PM Kill bill volumes 1 & 2 Finding nemo The lion king Lord of the rings trilogy Strom riders | |
