What were the first EoFF days like? What was the mainpage like?
edit: there was a pie question wtf....do you like cake? <B>I have to ask: have you ever been to Fresno?</B>
Drove close to it on the way to San Fran with Dan Walkie. And again with my wife on the way to SF.
<B>What makes Cid Highwind the best Cid?</B>
All the other ones are kind of wimpy. Plus he's the only FF character I can think of who smokes (offhand)... if there are others, they don't pull it off as well. Not that I smoke, but he freaking lites a stick of dynamite with his cig. What a badass.
<B>Are you a fan of Mandee's man's band?</B>
Honestly, not really. I have an recording that is about a year old I've played a couple times. Not really my style, but I love BJ. I saw him today at school.
<B>If you were ever invited to be interviewed by the local news over the recognition of the popularity of this site, what might your reaction be?</B>
Hmm... I might be a bit embarassed, one for the nature of a site that I feel like I've slightly outgrown, and two to be recognized for something nerdy like computer related when I'm really not doing anything close to that in my major. But I would, in the end, do it.
<B>Did you forget to answer the shoe question on purpose?</B>
No, I see that now. I'm an 11.
<B>How did you get such a magnificent Princess Cid? Hmmz?</B>
I don't understand. Maybe Thanos knows what you mean.
<B>What if the miniature golfing park was closed?</B>
We could go to his apartment and watch the new Simpsons Movie.
<B>Are you planning to use shampoo made of butterflies? No one here has used it yet. ;_; It has their scent and all that´cool stuff bottled.</B>
Haven't seen it yet. I'll look. Probably not. I buy the shampoo that costs 99cents.
<B>What's your favourite Seinfeld episode?</B>
Hmm, tough. The Contest, The Soup Nazi, The Kenny Rogers Roasters one, the Kramer-Jerry blood transfer, the Mandelbounds(?) one, their all really good. And it's a crime that there is no DVD seasons yet.
<B>I remember you and I had an AIM conversation about Street Fighter Alpha 3. Who's your best character?</B>
I've always like Ken, but SFA3 made me like Akuma (?) a bit.
<B>Do you think you can defeat me?</B>
Doubtful, I haven't played in years.
<B>Ken or Ryu</B>
Ryu likes small boys. Small.
<B>Street Fighter or Guilty Gear</B>
SF.
<B>Can I have 200 dollars?</B>
Can I?
<B>Ho do u feel abut ppl who typ lik dis?</B>
I freaking hate it.
<B>Are pizza rolls part of a gov't conspiracy?</B>
To allow us to eat cheaply, yes.
<B>I. Fill In The Blanks</B>
<B>1. MOAB means ________________________.</B>

<B>2. SARS means _______________________.</B>
Severe Acute Respitory Syndrome
<B>3. Cid is ___________________________.</B>
all he should be.
<B>4. I am self-proclaimed _______________________.</B>
awesome Pillsbury cookie maker.
<B>II. A Bit of Trivia</B>
<B>1. Have you ever donated a bag of blood?</B>
No, I don't like donating blood.
<B>2. Do you meet TheAbominatrix and ShlupQuack daily, weekly, hourly or what?</B>
Meet? I don't know that I've ever met TheAbominatrix yet, certainly not like "Hey, this is Sean". But she's cool from what I can tell. And I see Mandee.. like once every three months. Last time was the Matrix finale... which sucked. Sorry BJ.
<B>3. Have you ever took part of disaster relief operations?</B>
No, I had to learn how to handle a disaster and hazerdous materials though.
<B>4. If you were given the chance to visit Philippines, what's the first place to visit?</B>
Philippines City? Seriously, I would just buy a crap load of pirated movies, ps2 games, etc.
<B>5. If you were in the air force, what command/unit you wish to join?</B>
I have no idea what different units there are. I am about the last person who'd ever join that type of thing. I have a Marines shirt that I like cause it's cool though.
<B>who do you wish still posted</B>
Um, Sir Tyler, Britt, Krelian, BOU, Seifer007, Chewy, Rydia, Bleys (more), Nino, Dan, Asorie, and I wish Unne was still admining.
<B>How are you feeling today?</B>
I'm kind of feeling depressed today for some reason. I'm really stressed about how I'm going to do in my 4 classes and still work 40 hrs a week :( Comon EoFF, make money!
<B>Have you ever wanted to live anywhere other than California?</B>
Oh yes. I would like to live in NYC, Oregon, Florida, Boston, but I need to go there first to check it out :)
<B>Is this a question?</B>
According to the English language, yes.
<B>Can I borrow $5?</B>
Sure. But postage'll cost you 6.95.
<B>When did the idea of making a FF site/MB enter your mind?</B>
Not sure. When I was at FFWA I really admired the admins and thought how much I'd love to be them. I have no idea how our site got this big. But I used to play around on those editors that geocities provided you with... it was horrendous.
<B>Who do you miss more from back in the day: BrittK007 or Sir Krelian? On the forums, that is. I guess the question is 'Who would you rather have posting again?'</B>
Well, me and Britt rarely spoke, and me and Krelian sometimes spoke. But Krelian was a smidge of a trouble maker and a pervert. So Britt.
<B>What's your favorite EoFF moment?</B>
I liked when we totally hijacked Ids newbie thread and had a spamfest. Was that the same time as Stuffed Unner? Good times.
<B>Any opinions on Kawaii Ryukishi?</B>
Wish he'd not leave for a month while on staff.
<B>Or on his school girls?</B>
*unaware*
<B>Would you say that EoFF was a good or bad force in your life?</B>
Both. At first, it was good cause I felt great for what it had become. Then bad because it made me a hermit. Then bad cause I felt guilty for neglecting it in response to the hermitism. Now it's undecided. More good than bad though.
<B>Favorite Cid's Knight of all time?</B>
Hmm. I dunno. I had some friends on staff, so they're like automatically favorites.
<B>Least Favorite?</B>
Probably a few. Not gonna say.
<B>Do you play any collectable card games like Magic or Yugioh? Me, I play both.</B>
I really don't care for any of that. I don't even like the card games in FF. Or blitzball.
<B>I noticed you haven't met Dr Unne, yet he is member #2. So I suppose you met him online? Can you tell us about this?</B>
Dr Unne just rocks. He is strong in his beliefs, which reguardless of what the beliefs are is worth recognizing. He is a dedicated individual with a few personal demons like all of us. Unfortunatly, like me, he had to do some blocking on his AIM list. Or just keep it closed. Wish we talked more.
<B>What was EoFF (or the Highwind) like without PG (me)?</B>
$totalmembers minus one.
Seriously, just more purple-blue-gray.
<B>What were the first EoFF days like? What was the mainpage like?</B>
I'll try to dig up the old mainpage for you. The first days were slow, like 100 posts a day, but it was so easy to keep up and know everything about everyone, even in the FF forums. It was personal and we all liked each other. There were no members that were "tolerated", no one made waves and we all read every post. It was easy to.
<B>edit: there was a pie question wtf....do you like cake?</B>
Nah, cake isn't my bag. I like the band though. Del Murder 02-24-2004, 08:16 AM Why didn't you answer my question? :( eestlinc 02-24-2004, 08:21 AM what does "rar" mean? Sorry, missed it.

It's the guys who make vbulletin. They force you to leave their copyright up there.
<b>What's the story behind "booze-mail"?</b>
Bleys sent me "Fireball", this small, ace bottle of cinnominny alky that was quite tastey. I shared it with Nino and it was great. He sent it in this computer software box that was ducttapped the hell out of and had a strange contraption inside that cause your computer to make noise when you used a joystick or something. It was crazy. And I've never used it.
<b>Which former EoFF members do you miss most?</b>

<b>If my dog goes to town on a wednesday, eats in on a sunday and goes to the movies on wednesday albeit a different wednesday to the afforementioned wednesday, what will the neighbours think when they discover the mass grave of dead wombat fetuses in their strawberry patch?</b>

Not as much anymore, but I used to write all of the above.

Well, I'm still in school. My High School was brand new and semi-fancy, despite being a regular old public school. I didn't like it. Now, Jr College is way too much like HS, with everyone standin around in their groups talking between breaks. But this is my last 3 months there, then it's off to the university.

<B>Did you know I always knew you'd be all successful and happy and stuff someday? </b>
I'm not sucessful though. I have no career or anything. I'm pretty happy. Ask me in three years if I'm sucessful, I'll have a better idea then.
<B>What's wrong with being a hermit?</b>
It's not very psychologically healthy. It didn't work well for me.
<B>What do you believe in?</b>
Hard to know what you mean. Religiously, I'm a Christian. There are several things where I disagree with my religion though.
<B>why is it that, despite it being late and me being tired and there being nothing to do, I don't go to bed?</b>
Because you're a man, suffering through that eternal search of finding something to do before bed!
<B>Is there any way of you ever getting back eyesonff.net? How did you manage to lose it anyway?</b>
Not that I know of. I have emailed his domain provider telling them I would sue them, but they didn't mind too much. I had used that trick before for eyesonff.com (eyes on funky fish, anyone remember?) and it worked. I guess it doesn't work anymore.
<B>Do you have any teddy bears?</b>
In a bag in the closet. I still have My Buddy though. Remember my buddy? |
