It wasn't very mysterious since he said he was too busy with school/real life buisiness.. Hence the reason why he left Knighthood...

I never knew Kishi well, but of what I little I saw of him and spoke with him, I can truly say that he was a remarkable man. His lack of fear and heart-wrenching honesty in face of adversion was truly what has made men like him known in the past, and his loyalty to the cause he followed was truly awe-inspiring in its fanatical depth. But, as the saying goes, nothing can stay forever and he finally got caught on Christmas Eve last year. I was the last one to speak with him and hold his hand before the needle. Kishi, you, and your wacky antics will be sorely missed. His last words were an... An... Apology.
