there are summons pretty much every other ff, so probably. it'll probably have a new gimmick or something.

Well I've downloaded the trailer which IS at gametrailers.com and well, it looks good. It says out in 2004 (but knowing UK, it'll be 2005, grrr). There is Ifrit in the trailer and Shiva (quite rightly so). So yes there ARE summons in FFXII

The fiery beast is very likely Efreet, but the feminine blue face shown does not belong to Shiva. Right after the close-up, there's a brief wide shot that reveals the face to be a small part of an enormous winged satellite cannon. Shiva can't be an enormous winged satellite cannon.

and penance in the ffx pal version is a very twisted alexander too, so why cant shiva be different? the only prob is it would be very hard to lust over a satilite cannon.

ff1,ff2 didnt have summons but i dout they will ever have a non summon game again. ok ffx-2 but that was story line reason from ffx. summons r too inbeded in the ff psyche to ever vanish.

On www.ffxii.net, there is a list of all the summons that are in the game. I'm not sure if the site's info is 100% accurate, but they do have pictures.....which somehow validates everything?

I'd say yes. Every other game has had summons in one way or another. so i hink this one should have them to but it wont be with the same name which i think is gay cuzz tjey change it every time they make a new ff game but i love all ff but the best one is ff7 the best one everundefined
