FF3 possible to change character order?

Is it possible to change the order of your party in ff3?

I was just wondering.

You can't, but you can change them from front row to back row. There's really no point in changing the order.

Just stick to changing their jobs since formation alteration isn't possible.

in some games they order does matter though, I think. Like, the person at the top gets attacked more. Maybe I am insane, though.

That was the format used in FFI.

However, FFI hadn't had Rows, either. So, there is no point in changing the order, if you could, in FFIII.
