When I lay back
horizon glowing it's last hue
I gather my last memories,
my final dreams of you

My feelings so great
I felt so strong
concerns swept away
unaware of the downfall

Went away so harshly
Time was up for love
Realization came quick
came crashing from above

Do you remember the times I've cried
tears endlessly flowing
not feeling like I could pick myself up
felt like all the sweet things were going

Life became a rose
stinging me once I came close to the beauty
blood turning to tears
rejection so bitter
