NO MORE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. So stop sending em, eh?

01) What is your REAL name?
Jess

02) What are your nicknames(online and offline)?
Online: Shiva
Offline: The Yellow Dart ;)

03) What is your Birthday and current Age?
My b-day is November 4th, and I'm currently the big 2-0.

04) Where do you currently live(City, State/Country)?
I'm a born and bred Masshole, thank you very much.

05) What is your height and weight(weight is optional for those of you who do not wish to disclose this information)?
5'7", 140 lbs.

[b]06) What color are your eyes and your hair?
Brown squared.

07) What is your favorite color?
Green.

08) What is your favorite food or meal?
Hmmm. . . I'm not sure if I have a favorite, but I love rice, especially cooked in chicken broth. Ice cream rocks too.

09) What are your hobbies and/or interests?
What aren't my hobbies? I dance, sing, act, play the piano and violin, ski, draw, swim, paint, ride horses, teach tennis, am a recovering gymnast, and a diehard Red Sox fan. I also, of course, love Final Fantasy.

10) Do you have any brothers and sisters? If yes then how old are they?
One younger brother, he's 14.

11) What is your current occupation(student is an occupation)?
Dirt-poor college student, with funding supplied by my wonderful library and tennis teaching jobs. *blarg*

12) What are your favorite type of clothing to wear?
Anything comfortable, but I must admit I'm a prep. I own half of American Eagle and Old Navy. *dies*

13) What is your favorite style of music to listen to(the general style and specific style if you can)?
I generally like anything that isn't country, and I like to go easy on the rap - it bothers me after a while. I'd say I enjoy mainly classical, top 40, and anything I can choreograph to.

14) What is your favorite band/group/singer?
I can't say I have a favorite, but I really like No Doubt, Everclear, and BNL to name a few.

15) How many languages do you speak and what are they?
I speak English, French, and a few words of German. Oh, and Big Bird and Maria taught me how to count to 10 in Spanish.

16) Have you ever met anyone from the internet? If yes what was it like?
Nope. Love talking to you guys, but I usually stick to my RL friends.

17) If you could describe yourself in just two words what would they be and why?
Hmmm. I'd say creative and optimistic, because I'm both to a fault. People who aren't bother me.

18) If you could be anywhere in this world/universe/andother dimensional plane of existence...where would you want to be and why?
I like where I am, although visiting outer space would be cool. . . I'd like to go to the moon once before I die.

19) What do you want to do or be when you grow up...or if you are grown up then what do you wish you could be or do?
I don't plan on growing up.

20) What is the one thing on this planet that makes you happier than ANYTHING else?
Feeling loved - in whatever shape or form that may take.

21) What do you most desire to do at least once in your life time?
Well, I already said the moon, so I'll put #2 here: perform on Broadway at least once. Just to say I did.

22) If you can have any one thing in life this very instant what would it be?
I really don't know what I want, to be honest. I'm still trying to figure that out. So maybe that's what I want: direction. Yeah, that would be great.

23) Have you ever been in love with someone or had a crush on a person? If so then who(if you feel uncomfortable saying who don't worry about it)?
Yes. Very much so. It's the most horrible wonderful thing you can ever do. I plead the 5th on the rest.

24) What is the happiest moment of your life to this point?
I don't think I've had any life-shattering happy moments, just a lot of warm fuzzy ones, usually spent in the company of a certain male. ;)

25) What do you think others think of you?
I'm not sure - I believe others consider me intelligent, sometimes annoyingly so. I also have found that people tend to find me quite funny, although whether they're laughing at me or with me is often a toss up. But I love 'em anyway.

26) What do you feel your best trait is?
My optimism and determination. I think they go hand in hand. It's often the only thing holding me together when things get stressful.

27) What do you think your worst trait is?
I procrastinate - a lot. Especially since I've developed a reputation for getting away with it which has only worsened the situation. I wouldn't want anyone to steal my crown, would I?

28) Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Well, owning to my lack of direction, I have no idea, but I'm shooting for my answer below.

29) Where do you WANT to be in 5 years from now?
Hopefully with a decent job, living in my own place, and involved in a committed, steady relationship.

30) What is your favorite type of movie to watch?
Drama. I like to think and I like to cry.

31) What is your favorite movie?
Oh wow. I dunno. I have to grudgingly admit I have an unhealthy obsession with the X-Files movie in that I've seen it a million times and I still react the same way every time. But all-time favorite? Too many. I love The Patriot, Matrix, Dogma, Good Will Hunting, American Beauty, Dead Poet's Society, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Robin Hood Men In Tights, Spaceballs, What Dreams May Come. . . I'll go on all day if you let me.

32) What is your favorite television show?
The X-Files, hands down. Especially if you disregard the last two seasons. Don't get me wrong, I LIKED Dogget and Reyes. I'd watch them in a different show or a spinoff or whatever, but they just weren't my X-Files. Nevertheless, I watched religiously for 9 years, participated in lengthy discussions in high school, hosted Sunday night watching parties in my dorm room in college, and went out with my entire French class junior year of HS to see the movie - 5 times. It's sick, really.

33) What is your favorite Final Fantasy game?
Hmmm. . . I'd say I like 8 and 5 the best, for entirely different reasons.

34) What is your favorite game?
Since you didn't specify videogame, I'll say the card game Setback. That game rocks. But in the video age, I'd say Final Fantasy is my favorite. Duh.

35) How did you find Eyes on Final Fantasy?
Wow, it's been so long I don't remember. I think it was a link from the old FFShrine.

36) Why do continue to come here to Eyes on Final Fantasy?
I like the discussion, and in general most people are cool.

37) What is your favorite feature that Eyes on Final Fantasy has?
Forums. Or *fora* as some insist. ;)

38) What is your favorite forum here at Eyes on Final Fantasy?
I like specific game forums the best, espcially discussion that goes beyond "best/worst character" topics, which I find are pretty pointless, frankly. I also enjoy helping people out who are stuck, and recieving advice for myself in kind.

39) The ever so thriving question that just begs to be answered...Soda or Pop?
Soda. Even though I myself don't drink it.

40) Is there anything else that you would like to add?
Bring it, people!! :p

If you were taking a multiple choice test, and you didn't know the answer to one question, and your choices were a, b, c, and d, what would your answer be?

Were you satisfied with the ending of X-Files? I certainly wasnt. *grumble*

Who was your favorite character?

And if you had to make sweet love to one of the Lone Gunman, which one would you choose?

Anyway, for what reasons do you like FF8 and FF5?
Well, I like FF8 mainly for the aesthetics. I love the character and town designs, the bright color scheme, and the music. The storyline is good, but what really kept me in the game (and why I'll keep re-playing it) was just watching and listening to everything around me because it was all so original. I also find the draw/junction system very helpful and manageable, although it makes the game rather easy.
FF5, on the other hand, I like mainly for gameplay reasons. The job system is excellent, and the game is challenging without being frustrating. The characters are a little 2-D, but the storyline isn't as crappy as people tend to make it out to be. Mostly, I just find it fun to play. :)
What are you studying in college? What do you want to be remembered for when you leave...EoFF?...this world?
In college I'm a double major: English with a creative writing concentration and Theatre with an acting/directing concentration. I'm also a dance minor. It keeps me busy, and basically guarentees that I'll be living in a cardboard box after graduation. :p

Well, since I don't think many people at EOFF know me, I don't know how much I'd be remembered. but being nice and hopefully helpful would do. As for this world, I'll be happy as long as I was something special to the those who knew me, and was a positive presence in their lives.
If you were taking a multiple choice test, and you didn't know the answer to one question, and your choices were a, b, c, and d, what would your answer be? Why is a raven like a writing desk?

Well, since it's scientifically proven that "c" is more often then not the correct choice, I'd probably go with that. Or my first instinct, which generally tends to be correct.

And, Alice, although I haven't the slightest idea, the Cheshire Cat told me it was because Poe wrote on both. ;)
Were you satisfied with the ending of X-Files? Who was your favorite character? And if you had to make sweet love to one of the Lone Gunman, which one would you choose?
No, I most certainly wasn't. Ideally, I think it should have ended with "Requiem" at the end of the 7th season, with the whole pregnecy thing cut out. Then they could have made a movie dealing with Mulder's abduction. But since Chris Carter forgot to ask me my opinion, he screwed himself. And trying to pay us off by giving us a shippy ending wasn't worth it. /rant

My favorite character? That's hard. I loved Mulder and Scully the best, obviously, but if I had to think of a third. . . CSM. Especially back when he was really scary.

Lone Gunmen lovin', eh? I guess I'd go with Byers. I think he's a pretty passionate guy underneath that suit.
are you happy?
Wow. Well, for the most part I'd say yes, yes I am. I love my school and my activites, I have great friends who'd do anything for me, I'm healthy, and so is my family. So, yeah. Everything else is minor details, really. :)

Thanks guys - keep 'em coming! ;)

When you count up to seven in Spanish, do you instinctively repeat 'cinco' because of the way you used to count along with the thickly accented guy in that popular Offspring song from a few years back? i do.

Also, have you seen the movie Pi? i just watched it. That's some messed up stuff.

How do you stand the constant heartbreak that is Red Sox fandom?

Isn't Johnny Damon the coolest?

isn't the best episode of the X-Files "Soft Light" or whatever it's called with the guy who accidentally turns his shadow into a black hole?

As much as I love the Offspring's "Pretty Fly For A White Guy," I usually cound to 10 in Spanish singing the Sesame Street tune, so no, I don't usually repeat cinco. Interesting habit, though.
Pi - is that the movie where the guy puts the electric drill to his head? I watched that last year with one of my best guy friends - it gave us migraines, and that was after I buried my face in his chest for most of it. Lol. Severely messed up stuff.

Ricky Martin because the other two options freak me out, and I could ask the Latin lover for some dance tips. I've danced to enough of his freakin' songs. :rolleyes2

Lots of alcohol. And heroin. But seriously, I was really aiming to strangle Grady Little when I watched Kim walk out to the mound last night - and sure enough, he blew our lead. Why did we trade Hillenbrand for him again?
Johnny Damon rocks the casba. And I got to meet him and get his autograph.

"Soft Light" is a pretty cool episode. Never been one of my favorites, though. Of the earlier monster of the week eps, I'm a big fan of "Pusher" and "Squeeze" myself. :)

*Any games you are looking forawrd to? *Random childhood memory you would like to share?

Well, I'm really looking forward to the game 5 Red Sox/Oakland A's game tommorrow. Go Sox! :)

Childhood memories? Hmmm. . . well, I have a nice embarrassing memory. When I was 12, our entire grade went on a field trip to this mountain. It was spring, and the snow had just melted. Our teacher decided we should have a race down the mountain. Well, I shot out in front, until we came up to this giant mudpuddle. I lept over it, only to slip into another. I slid the entire way down to the bottom, only to meet the laughs of 500 12 and 13 year olds. Not only did I have to walk around a gigantic mudball the entire day, but everyone called me Slip and Slide for the rest of the year. *dies* Ah, the joys of middle school. :p

Anyway, thanks guys! And take care.
