Is it me...? (Final Fantasy Origins)

Is it just me, or do the Random Encounters seem to be at a ridiculously high rate? I don't ever recall in the NES version the high amount of random encounters I've been receiving for the PSX. I'm not sure about Final Fantasy II, but I'm sure that it's not that much different.

I noticed it too. But that makes for challange. And challenge is good.

It's prettymuch the same.
