I heard that Seymour makes a cameo in X-2, in a sphere, and I wanted to know from someone who has played the Jap version if this is true.

Someone who played the game said that he's in a sphere that is exceptionally hard to find. I was just curious.

I haven't heard that before. I don't have enough money to get the Japanese game and a converter so I search around for spoilers. No offense to people who like seymour, but if he is in the game (even in a sphere) I'll throw my controller out the window. I think seymour's a creep (in the english version he sounds and acts gay) plus he tries to mess with Tidus and Yuna. GRRR!!
