FF XI for Linux

Does anyone know if FFXI will be playable on a PC that runs Linux as it's OS?

(my guess is probably not, but I'm looking for clarification)

No, but true Linux geeks will run it on Linux any ways.
There is a couple of programs that allow you to run EXE's on Linux but I'm not sure if that will enable FFXI to be played on it.

That program is VMWare.

I strongly doubt that a Linux port will be released, but VMWare's getting better all the time, so you will almost certainly be able to run it.

It's possible using Wine as well. Until they get a Linux port for FFXI, I'll be working on getting it to install and run on Linux smoothly using Wine. Some more info is located in the link below.
