wheres the best place to gain EXP/AP?

wheres the best place to gain EXP/AP? im trying to beat ruby and emerald and i need to get KOTR to a higher level, and i need to reproduce another mime.

Hmm, maybe fighting the sea worms on the beaches around Mideel. Also fighting cactaur's gives you a great deal of something, I'm not sure what though.

The best place to level up and gain quick EXP/AP is in the northern crater in the jungle portion. In this area you will fight Magic Pots and Movers. Feed the magic pots elixers and then attack them. You get a ridiculous amount of EXP/AP.

And buy the way, I believe the cactaurs give you a lot of Gil.

Storm's got it sussed. Magic Pots and Movers, whilst using EXP-Plus Materia and double/ triple growth weapons.
Your levels - of both the Materia and the characters - will skyrocket.

Yep, Norhtern Crater.

8000 exp and 1000 AP for the Magic Pots.

1 exp and 800 AP for the Movers, and they allways shows up three at a time.

You can steal elixer's from the tonberries as well so you can spend ages in that area without having to leave.

Or use good 'ol W-Item to maximise your stock of Elixirs.

Movers don't give you any EXP, just AP and gil.

Make sure you go into the crater itself. The area looks like the inside of an anthill with a swamp/jungle and you have to run underwater someimes to run around objects. You'll know when you get there. The music will chnage to a more whimsical note(I guess that'd be the best way to describe it). You'll also meet veterans(I think, the flying yellow one-eyes) one battle and another battle consists of the horse and his buddy(I can't remember their names). It's been a while since I played, but it's a very distinct place.

Yeah, Chad Monkey explained that quite well. Aside from those monsters I believe Master Totenberry(the little guy with the lamp and knife) will show up as well. If you didn't know all ready, you can morph him into a ribbon(which almost is a necessity for some side quests and for other things).

By the way, this is the music you hear when you enter the jungle portion of the northern crater.

Also, Cactuars give 1,000 exp., 100 AP, and 1,000 Gil.

Yes, and other than the nothern crater, go to the ancient forest.

yeah, magic pots rule. I got all characters level 99...All my materia maxed, just for spending days in that crater.

THERE'S AN EXP-PLUS MATERIA! WHERE!?! (I love independent materia... it makes my stats go up)

Buy it for a whole heap of GP from the lady at the Gold Saucer's Wonder Square. Not available in disc one, if I remember correctly. But I could be wrong...

I always used the sunken airplane to level up

theres a part in northern crater where you have to pick one of 2 ways.

i think the top way gives ya loads of exp and the bottom one gives you loads of ap :)

might be other way about :)
