Only if I'm just starting out on the language involved. Being able to make a 'Hello World' program means that I at least know enough of the language to give some output.

Seeing as how I have no clue as to the actual accuracy of your program at all here is my solution. Just use some sort of simple acceleration type thing...maybe just a simple quadratic that starts off really low in value so that when it increases it will not get noticible until it starts going. I also have no clue how your coordinate system works. That is about all the help I can provide with out seeing the code...I think.

What do you think about that or did you already come up with that simple solution?

Sorry I can't really help you Red Wizard with your program but it seems to me that want to go more into depth with this than is really necessary. If you want to be as realistic as possible then maybe you could find some sort of Astro-physics web site so that they can maybe explain how gravity works as you get further away from earth along with acceleration of a space shuttle as it goes up. That is the best I can offer for what it seems like you are shooting for.
