EoFF Triathlon - FINAL ROUND

Alright, for those of you not familiar with how this goes, here's a bit of an explanation.

The EoFF Triathlon is a little something I came up with, and it's quite fun. Basically, it consists of three 'events', small challenges designed to make you think creatively and/or humorously. After I post an event, the contestants do whatever it says, and send me the results via PM. I then put them up on a webpage (using anonymous methods so as to prevent favoritism), where they are judged. After the results come back, the winner gets 5 'points', second place gets 3 , third gets 1
, and everyone else gets .5... just to be fair. Whoever (whomever?) has the most points after three rounds wins! Yay!

From now until Monday I will allow contestants to sign up. All you need to do so is post in this thread saying 'I want to be a contestant'. Easy 'nuff. Also, I will be using judges this round, as I can't trust the EoFF population to vote.

On Monday I will post Event #1, which will be due to me on Friday. The Judges will then owe me their judging results by that Sunday. Things will continue on the same schedule, with Event 2 posted on the next Monday, and so on.

Well, hurry up and get applying, you only have a few days.

Pretty tough order. I mean, I'm hard pressed to do a parody of an sci-fi/action flick, like Star Wars or Lord Of the Rings. Yet, I think a movie like The Brother McMullen, or Chasing Amy would be a good one to rip apart....

Sorry, people, I'm dropping out.

My mom did a GoBack on the computer I saved my story on. I thought last night, "Maybe I should E-mail it to myself...", but didn't, thinking nothing would happen to it. Well, something did. My mom did a GoBack operation because the computer was acting screwy. So, goodbye story.

I suck at writing anyway. I assume there's no way to jump in at Round 2, so I'm just quitting. :(

On-topic: I might post the story I made up on the Writer's Corner. It's called "Fast Times At Eyeson High". Almost all of the members who post here regularly, including myself, will be in it.

Oh and.... Shiroi Kumo is the main character.

If there are only three judges, the points system is going to be crap and the judging will tend to be bias towards a certain style. This should be EoFF-Interactive. It doesn't say anything in the previous rules about having exclusive judges. It just says that there will be judges, nothing to do with who they are and how many people can be one.

It's always better when you have more people judging. Always. The more the merrier! Bring 'em on.

It would be nice if the voting were more EoFF interactive, but if I'm not mistaken, BoB, last time I don't think that there were enough "non-contestants" doing any voting at all. With appointed judges, you will at least be getting those votes.

I have also become a judge and not a contestant. My present work schedule does not allow for any time for me to work on my entries. I am open for bribes. :)

I talked to Red earlier today. He said that he is hoping to get 7 judges, and if that doesn't happen, the voting will be the same as it was last time, of course, it being that everyone and anyone can vote.

Right, well... it would seem that both the judge and contestant turnout is horribly lower than I was hoping, especially as I've only recieved 7 entries. Yes, seven. Because of this (and my lateness), I guess I can give all contestants until Monday evening to submit final entries. Also, any judges who wish to participate may send in an entry for event 1. Good luck, I'm sorry this contest is working out the way the others did.

You should be able to add a attachment which would be how. If not get yahoo, they have easy to add on attachments, i dunno about other emails though.

I think Fiend might be referring to the fact that you can't attach files using the loverly email function on vBB's. So yeah. Hrmm. I'm havin' the same trouble, I guess. Red, I suggest you shove your email on the boards, or if you don't want it public, at least make up some other one we can send the stuff to.

I know I can check your email usin' my uber-powers, but still! That's so much more work than the caption thing :(

I uploaded my picture to Homestead and then emailed it to Red. I hope he got it. I don't know how else to do it without actually going outside of EoFF. Attachments don't work here in PMs or emails. I could host some pictures for whoever needs it just for this contest.

Yay.
